“Creative idea has its limits”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2012

The service is good, the food is good--if not great--and the very small dining room and location limit the return on your investment. Pairings has been around less than two years as I write, and it tries hard with an intentional romantic appeal for all ages, which it draws. I especially liked the waitress, in her 30s/40s and very pleasant and attentive. But the small dining room and small medical/bank offices location limit its appeal. Good restaurant, but...

“Fabulous food, beautifully presented by an excellent wait staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2012

The meal was one of the best I have had. I started with a Cream of Crab, a must in Maryland. A nice touch was the huge back fin lump served on the spoon. The hor doevre
was a scallop salad also delicious. The main course was a seafood crepe that was out of this world. Everyone raved about there dishes and we are definitely foodies. The servings are huge but I was able to eat desert, a walnut fudge brownie with chocolate sauce and ice cream. The service was impeccable. We would definitely go back again. Reservations are a must and promptly honored. The place is small but comfortable. I might also add the wine pairings with the different courses were excellent. They also have a small wine store with reasonable prices.

“A Local Gourmet Dining Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2012

My wife and I have dined many times at Pairings, most recently on New Year's Eve, 2011. Not only has the food been consistently of gourmet quality, but the wine pairings have been outstanding. We have never had a wine there that we did not love with the food we had selected. Service is not rushed and the staff is always friendly, and each is very knowledgeable of both the food and wine selections. The dining area is small but the restaurant has plans to double its space in the near future. It is a treat to have a neighborhood restaurant of such high quality.
