“Excellent Lobster Rolls but no place to sit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

I've ate lobster rolls (always with melted butter, no mayo!) at several Maine locations and this one has great flavor but no place to sit down. Imagine eating lobster rolls in your hot car - very messy. They need to expand and add table service.

“Mine Lobster Outlet: For lobster to go (or send) its 1st choice by far”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

Great lobster rolls; would recommend as the best in the area for a to-go lunch. Prices are just right too. Also very, very good chowder. If you have a big party/group, you can also order a lobster bake with corn and lobster and the fixings for an absolutely fabulous price. The store has lots of tasty looking frozen lobster entrees to take if you are staying somewhere with a refrigerator/freezer and cooking capacity. Also there is a cool assortment of kitchen and home goods--cute kitchen towels, lobster picks, cookbooks, and very beautiful totes and pillows and cool gifts. Don't miss this one--I had been coming here to the area for a decade and finally decided to stop when the B & B owner (Morning Glory--do stay there) recommended it as the best--he is a foodie and all the recommendations he made were 100% spot on.

“Our go-to place for lobster and chowder”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

These guys expanded from wholesale to retail in recent years. Because they do a lot of volume shipping, their lobster prices are excellent. You can buy them live or have them steamed but call ahead for steaming because they get busy during the summer. If you don't like to do the work, they seem to have the best price around for a pound of freshly picked lobster meat (tail/knuckle/claw or just knuckle/claw, which we prefer). They also sell the best clam chowder, one that is served in restaurants all over New England. And a nice array of local beers, wines that pair well with seafood, and Maine crafts.

“Great lobster roll”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

$9.99 for lobster in a toasted bun - delicious. Their potato salad (in the cooler) costs only a few dollars and seems homemade. Great take away food.

“Great chowder and lobster rolls”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

Great prices for lobster and they can boil it for you, which we did with a couple of two pounders and they even offered to lend us tools to eat at the Microtel next door. Lobster rolls were great - the bread was fried a bit in butter and plenty of lobster. The chowder was the best in town - lots of clams and potatoes and no onions to overpower the taste.
