“A little disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

I had heard good things about this restaurant. Maybe we just didn't order the right thing. My husband and I both ordered burgers and they were about 3 inches high and about 3 inches around on a very large bun....so the little fat burger sat in the middle of a huge bun. The bun was good....just too much of it. Not much taste to the burger but it was juicy. The oven fried potatoes were horrible. They appeared and tasted as if they had been in the oven since lunch. They were $2.99 extra and I got maybe 10. The burger was $8.00. The staff, the restaurant and the view were nice. Probably won't go back.

“Sorry to say ...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Sorry to say that (a) the "vegetable stew" was terrible, and tasted like dishwater with boiled (perhaps frozen) veggie pieces, and (b) the "lobster trap" was equally bad. A few pieces of lobster, with goopy cheese and maybe bad white sauce attached to it, out of season tomatoes, and extremely expensive for what you get. DON'T GO FOR THE FOOD !!! (We just went on a drive up the coast). The scenery was about the only good thing.

“Big sandwiches”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Mostly sandwiches of their own creations on breads made there. Excellent soups on the side. Lots of seating w/ nice river view. Ask for a doggy bag when you order because the sandwiches are big. Don't leave without dessert.

“Soup to Cake”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Sarah's is a very open and pleasant restaurant located overlooking the Sheepscot River in Wiscasset. Good food but best deal is the Soup (3 choices) with $1 refill of a large bowl and tasty bread pieces. Ask for hot sauce if you like to add it to the haddock chowder. Last visit had a piece of her chocolate/cherry cake.....unbelievably decadent and rich and a large slice! Good stop on Rt 1 coastal.

“Great Hawaiian pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Sarah's is home to absolutely delicious Hawaiian pizza, covered in succulent ham and sweet pineapple slices. The menu is full of options that will satisfy even the pickiest of palates. Overall a delicious option for dining or take-out.
