My husband and I wanted to experience the lobster roll of all lobster rolls. Found it at Red's. Tiny place in a small town right by the water and neat small shops just across the street. A really interesting old General Store next door but was closed that day. Take time to go here for the food. It was buttery, delicious and all we had read it would be.

A Texan Who Visited Maine

We are from Indiana and vacation in Maine every two years. We were just there the last two weeks of Sept. '08. It's always a game of ours to try and find the best lobster roll during our trips up and down the Maine coast.
We won't be playing that game any longer.

Believe me...RED's is the place to go for the best lobster roll ever!
We will now go directly to Wiscasset every time we return to Maine. Thanks for the great experience and great food!

If is wasn't for trip advisor, I never would have stopped there. Also, I might not have tried their best dish - the lobster roll. Get it with a side of drawn butter. It is amazing. How do they stay in business giving away that much (over a pound) of lobster for so little money. We paid a little over 20 dollars. It was huge chunks of lobster, including a hole tail split in two. The only downside is the long wait. We were in line for 45 minutes, but it was worth it. My husband also said the fried clams were the best he ever had. The amount was also very generous

We visit Maine 2-3 times each year. We stay in the Portland to Ogunquit area and a run up to Reds at least once is always on the agenda. We visit other establishments that we hear about having great lobster rolls. Have yet to find one better than Reds.
