“Nom nom nom!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

My aunt and I passed Reds driving to Camden and knew it must be great bc the line was extremely long so we decided to go there the next day. We waited in line for an hour but for me was well worth the wait, I'd do it again & again. I ordered the lobster roll, crab cake & blueberry cake. All of it was exceptional! The lobster roll was served on a thick piece of Texas toast with a whole lobster piled on top and I ordered butter with it that I poured on top. It was awesome! The crab cake was good but the cocktail sauce was the best I ever had and it made the crab cake even better. The blueberry pie was heavenly also. It's definitely a must to eat at but don't let the line discourage you, you won't be disappointed!

“Best one of the week”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

A week in Maine = a week of lobster rolls. Red's was the best, hands down. Delicious and generous serving of lobster. Nuff said.

“Long wait, but worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

We waited over 45 minutes, outside , to put our order in. We were glad we waited. They walked around with cold water for those of us in line. This is a take out stand with limited seating , outside, in the rear. There are a few tables with umbrellas. The food is FANTASTIC! The lobster roll has nothing added to it. There are big pieces of lobster meat with over a pound in the roll. We would definitely go back when we are in the area.

“Rave Review for Red's Eats”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014

We had Lobster Rolls at Red's last week and they were "over the top" good. Lot's of great Lobster meat in each Roll. This was our third trip to this Lobster Mecca. Line wait was the usual 45 minutes or so. Only suggestion is to improve the chairs in the seating area. My wife fell backwards when one of the thin plastic legs caught on the deck flooring and bent under the chair causing it to collapse. She was OK.

“Two words: Lobster. Roll.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

Red's Eats is a funny little place in the middle of town. There's no atmosphere whatsoever; if you're looking for that, you're in the wrong place. What you *will* find here is a very fine lobster roll, consisting merely of chunks of lobster (large and small) and bread. There is a lot of fresh, good-quality lobster packed into these lobster rolls, and they are not cheap---but they shouldn't be. You can choose mayonnaise or drawn butter as accompaniments, and small cups of either will be provided so you control the amount you eat---a wonderful idea. My friends and I arrived a little after 8 on a Friday night. There was a line, and we ended up waiting perhaps fifteen minutes to place our orders and fifteen minutes more while they were prepared. We also split one of Glen B's Whoopie Pies sold here, and it was delicious, with a genuinely chocolatey cookie exterior. There's a small seating area out back; if you go at dusk, bring insect repellent (the mosquito is Maine's state bird).

Red's does offer other seafood (clams, crabs, etc.) and there are plenty of non-seafood options and choices appealing to kids. It's important to note that this is a cash-only establishment. The cooks and cashiers are constantly busy but seem a cheerful lot. Amusingly, we drove by this place at 11:15 on Saturday morning. The restaurant wasn't even open yet, but there was already a line of 10 or 12 people! Be prepared to wait in a line, but know that it's a worthwhile exercise.
