“Tourist Attraction Eatery”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2014

This diner appeared on Diners Drive-In and Dives. It's a fun place with tasty home cooking. You certainly get a taste of Maine when yo eat here as lobster is served in many ways. The staff has to hustle as the restaurant is aways busy. Don't mis this place when you are in Ogunquit/Wells.

“Looks don't tell the story”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2014

Having seen a session of DDD on TV , I was aware of this spot. Then my daughter's in laws who summer at York Beach , Maine recommended it . After church on Sunday we stopped for breakfast. The service was excellent. The food delicious , even for breakfast meal . The portion huge; filling for most of the day. The price was fair.
Anyone visiting the Maine Beaches should absolutely stop here.

“Mothers Day Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2014

We stopped on Mother's Day at the Maine Diner in Wells, Maine. Of course, being Mother's day it was packed. We had a choice of waiting 15-20 minutes or sit at the counter. We choose to sit at the counter. I ordered the seafood platter. It was huge. It was served in a gigantic shell dish. It had a clam cake, scallops, fish, scallops and clams. My companion had the chicken tenders which was a large portion also. We will certainly go back again. Service was great.

“They know their fish, not their beer”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

We had lunch on May 17, 2014. Great energy, busy staff. BUT the menu listed "Shigyard Light Ale" and the subscribt indicated donations to save light houses would be forwarded to some foundation. Now the rub, Light beer was served, not ale. When the waitress was questioned, she said "it's what we have" no attempt at, oops we are wrong. Pricey. Watch out
