“Great Lobster Pound!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2014

Stopped here leaving Bar Harbor. Parking was a bit chaotic because it is limited. The parking chaos is worth it for the food!! We were in a hurry so couldn't do whole lobsters but had their lobster salad sandwiches and a cup of clam chowder - which was large. Lobster salad was excellent, the bread was nice and fresh and there was lots of large lobster chunks. Clam chowder was excellent, with lots of whole clams. You order at the counter (where you pick out lobsters if you are buying whole ones) then sit at tables while you wait. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Would definitely go back.

“Loving Lobster on the Bridge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2014

I had lunch with friends here on route to the BH airport (it is very convenient). The restaurant is a classic throwback filled with fantastic food and an eager and friendly staff. The setting is what is
what it is - along a busy road, but with picnic tables with water views. The crab dip appetizer exceeded expectations as did the lobster roll that was chock full of lobster meat. The only disappointment to me was that the roll was served on large sandwich bread which over-powered the delicious seafood- I would have much preferred a grilled roll. We did mention this to the crew
and they indicated that they did not have a toasting grill, but were considering it. This was a small detail as all the other diners had various meals that they seemed thrilled about. The restaurant also provides take out. I thought it was a real find!

“A Bar Harbor Tradition”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2014

Going to a lobster pound for dinner is about as close to a "must do" as you can get in the Bar Harbor area. Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound is one of the oldest and was recommended to us by locals. The food and dining is very informal but very good.

“Good lobsters, not sure if good value?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2014

You'd think this place would be cheap since it's a lobster pound, but everything (I mean the 1$ lemons, the melted butter, cole slaw, etc.) is a la cart, I think it ended up costing more than getting a lobster at a normal restaurant where you sit down and are waited on. The lobster WAS good and well cooked, and they do weigh the lobsters in front of you, so you know what you're getting. I'm just not sure if the value is that much better.

“This Is the Consummate Maine Lobster Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

This is truly THE place for lobster in Bar Harbor! If you have this image of going to a lobster pound, picking the lobsters and compelmentary courses and indulging yourself, then this is the place. People from the far-corners of the earth, great converstations, great food, what's not to love! We'll be back before they close for the season.
