We drove by the restaurant - which used to be a German-style beer garden - and saw that it had become a Thai restaurant. Our only question was, will we be paying 15 bucks for an entree? That's the typical going rate in our area, in the Thai restaurants in the next two towns over.
We went in on a Friday night and it was clear the restaurant was still going through some growing pains. We waited a few minutes for a table as employees passed us, but when we were seated the waitress took our drink orders right away. When we had questions, she answered them thoroughly and even offered suggestions.
The red curry was awesome - probably the best I've had of any local Thai restaurant, and they will modify the spiciness. Also, if you're in the mood for appetizers and don't want to overload, Ni-Da offers a sampler platter.
Only minor drawback - as of June 10, Ni-Da had not gotten its liquor license.
But we will return!
