We have been visiting Maine every summer for 25+ years. This restaurant has gone through several owners over the past few years but the newest owner, Scott has hit the nail on the head. He originally was chef at the Dip Net in Port Clyde and has moved his expertise and love of food on to this jewel in Thomaston. We managed three visits to this establishment this year.....it's that kind of place. There is indoor seating but the best is the dock seating, all undercover, a bar on the dock and on top of it all there was a guitarist entertaining us on Sunday. Now on to the food. Well, first the bar menu is extensive, local beers as well as better known bottle choices. The FOOD....amazing. The choices are abundant. Sunday's menu offered French toast with sausage and a blueberry crisp, I was torn between that and the blackened haddock sandwich....the last won out and I was not disappointed...the fish was excellent....served on slices of french bread, beautiful tomato slices and lettuce....pickles from Morse and chips....PERFECT!!!! Himself had a beautiful Cheese Burger...with all of the trimmings....Not a crumb left....Meet us on the Dock at the Slipway!!!!
