“Peaceful at the Harbour Cottage Inn”

Our second year in a row at this enchanting B & B. Don and Javier are gracious hosts and Javier's breakfasts are terrific. We stayed with our college aged son in an upstairs suite. The room worked perfectly for us and we found the downstairs living room to be comfortable and inviting. Breakfast on the porch, weather permitting is a treat and the lawn chairs are quite inviting.

We love Southwest Harbor as a more peaceful part of Mount Desert but within very easy striking distance to terrific hiking, carriage trail biking or dinner in Bar Harbor. Southwest Harbor has it's own assortment of nice restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries.

We hope to return.

“Wonderful B&B, wonderful town!”

We truly enjoyed our stay at Harbour Cottage Inn. The owners were extremely nice, courteous, helpful, etc. Having our breakfast on the porch was a great way to start each day, no matter what the weather conditions were. The staff was friendly and attentive,. Harbour Cottage Inn is a nice place to come back to after a day of sightseeing. I hope to stay there again!

“A quietside paradise”

Located just up the road from one of the best lobster pounds in New England, Harbour Cottage is an excellent home base to use when exploring Acadia and Mt. Desert island. The rooms are beautiful (VERY comfortable beds) and the breakfasts are terrific. We stayed for three days, and wished we could have stayed longer.

We loved the Harbour Cottage Inn and would definitely recommend it. We stayed at The Carriage House for 3 nights and could not have been happier-very relaxing. It was adorable, spacious and clean. The inn is located in a quiet area but just a short drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. We really enjoyed eating our breakfast on the porch but the breakfast room was beautiful as well. The food was excellent. We stayed at the perfect place.

“awesome atmosphere”

We first had the pleasure of staying at Harbor Cottage in 2006 and enjoyed it so much that we chose to vacation there again in 2007 and brought our parents! The staff is outstanding and the atmosphere is truly awesome. You would pay three times as much in a hotel to achieve this kind of relaxation and pampering.
