I was in Portland on business and my company always uses this hotel, although this was my first visit.
First impressions, were of a nice hotel, with plenty of free car parking and very friendly helpful front desk staff, in a nice reception area.
Up in the room, everything was still good. A good sized room for 1 or 2 people, with a nice big American bed with plenty of different pillow type options. The bathroom was big, with lots of towels and complimentary stuff, plus a hair dryer.
The TV is an old CRT, but was a good size and had plenty of channels.
The hotel has free wireless access, via an access code you get on check in and it seemed to provide reasonable speeds.
The breakfast, served in the reception area, was good with a choice of cereals, fruit, bread, bagels, jams and different daily hot choice.
The hotel does have a pool and gym, but I never got time to use them, but they both looked nice.
The location is good, especially being across the road from the Maine Mall. There is a fantastic cinema, Cinemagic just up the road and a nice restaurant/bar across the road called Sebago Brewing company.
My only comment is that due to the nearby airport and road, there was some noise, but it never stopped me from sleeping.

Hampton Inn's - can't beat them in some respects. Always a full breakfast (though this was not one of the more extensive ones), very comfortable bedding and sound proof roomy rooms. It is on a shopping mall service road but you would never know it. A bit tricky to find but once on property it is surrounded by enough grass and trees to make you feel like you are away from the maddening crowd. There is a nice covered patio out back as well. We got take out one night and sat outside to eat it, very enjoyable. Pretty close to downtown Portland so it makes a good homebase if sightseeing.

Went for an overnight trip to visit family for a graduation party. Arrived at 5pm and check-in was a piece of cake. Asked for a late checkout and they gave us till 1pm Sunday to leave. Front desk helped with directions and check-in was quick and easy. The room was perfect. Not big by any means, but we asked for a cot around 11pm and it was delivered to us by 11:15pm. We slept 2 adults and 3 small children. It was tight, but doable. Room was clean, cool (AC climate control was on wall, not on the actual AC unit - had to call front desk to figure that out), and comfortable. Room had a microwave, small fridge, coffee maker and TV. Bathroom was spotless. Granite sink counter and large tub. We stayed in room 110. They also had a computer in the lobby where you could access the internet - great for directions and email. Breakfast was good - definitely not stellar, but fit the needs. Poached eggs, biscuits, canadian bacon, donuts, cereal, coffee and juices. Pool was clean and quiet. Hot tub was nice also. Fitness room looked nice, small, but adequate. Will definitely return. Highly recommended. Tons of restaurants in area and right across from the Maine Mall - within walking distance.

My family and I stayed here the night before we flew out of the Jetport on our way to Orlando - Disney.
We arrived at the hotel at 11:00 and got our room. The room was very clean.
In the morning we had the breakfast - it was free. In the breakfast there is always something hot (eggs, waffles, sausages), fruit, bagles, bread and yogurt. Everyone had someting to eat.
Then we got a free shuttle to the airport.
We did the park and fly - upon flying back to PWM we were delayed in Atlanta and flew in at 1am so we asked the hotel if they had a room we could get for the night and it was no problem.
We had a great stay here for a family - everyone was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again!!
