Well maintained, clean, quiet room wit internet access and decent tv; consistently helpful staff, adequate breakfast, workout room and small pool, plethora of restaurants in the immediate area. Shuttle service saved me much time and aggravation. Will return when I have business in South Portland again.

We stayed here for one night on our way to New Hampshire from Boston. The breakfast was simple but excellent. Nice, clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Gym and pool were great. Good price for this hotel. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is in a good location and pretty well appointed but the sleep quality was horrible. The beds were springy, creaky, noisy and uncomfortable. We were traveling with a baby and even the slightest movement would make the bed creak and groan and wake the baby up. Did not enjoy our stay.

We received a good deal through AAA for a hotel close to Portland during a busy period. This hotel is approx 20 years old so it seems dated. The doors to the rooms looked like they have seen a lot of wear and tear. The rooms seem smaller than the more current Hamptons. The beds not as comfy as most Hampton Inns. The 295 freeway truck noise disturbed my wifes' sleep all night, just as other tripadvisor reviewers noted. The faucet on the sink needed maintenance as did the light in the bathroom of room 307.Breakfast area had a cold draft from the back door being open. Bottom line-lower tier Hampton Inn

We went to visit South Portland and stayed at this nice hotel. It was reasonably priced and the hotel quality was very good. The hotel room was clean and quiet. The hotel breakfast that was included was buffet style and was very good also. The hotel is well located across from the Maine Mall and close to highways for day trips. Portland was only minutes away as well.

Fourth stay at this property and the experience was as expected for Hampton Inn. The location is convenient to the airport and the Maine Mall just across the street. A good inventory of restaurants nearby or a short drive to the downtown area adds lots of local flavor to the list. The location, being nearby busy I-95 would tend to have you think that it might be contaminated with the regular highway noise, but that is definitely not the case. Well insulated and sound proofed rooms keep the noise to a minimum. A small guest laundry serves extended travelers and the fitness room is well equipped.

Breakfast was better than most chains and fresh. Plenty of fresh brewed coffee is available beyond breakfast and fresh baked cookies are served up early evening.

Room Tip: Rooms on the backside of the hotel afford maximum quiet for a good night's sleep.
