Fab folk and house, wish we'd had more time to spend in the house perusing their wonderful collection, and in the garden. Great breakfast. Highly recommended. Food at the Pax pub a pleasant 15/20 mins walk away was good too.

I stayed with my partner in the garden cottage. Its got all you need, clean, comfortable and quiet. I can't say what the main house is like but the bit that we saw downstairs is really very nice so I cant imagin the rooms not being of an equal standard. Its a fantastic property with beautiful gardens. The area is quiet but plenty of places to eat and drink in Boston Spa, Wetherby is also a short distance away. The location is perfect as a base to explore Leeds, York and the surrounding countryside. Anne was there to greet us and was polite and friendly and all of my communications for bookings and payments have been fine. There was an extensive pack of information for the local area for places to eat and the pubs which was really handy. Free Wifi also a good thing. We are going back and are glad to have found Four Gables.

Room Tip: The garden cottage is great like a home from home

Lovely B&B. Fabulous house in Arts and Crafts style and everything (yes, everything except perhaps the bed which was definitely 21st Century and comfy too!) was in this style. A huge amount of love and work to do this and to keep it all authentic (even the breakfast crockery!). Very attentive but unobtrusive owners - and thanks especially for that pot of tea on arrival with yummy home made cake. Glorious breakfast too - but don't be late down!
We will return.

Room Tip: We had a huge room at the front overlooking the croquet lawn - very peaceful location.

I didn't realise we were Posh. Thank you for staying and your kind remarks and we look forward to seeing you again. Fruit picking in full swing - 4 lbs of rasps a day, 10lbs of gooseberies off one bush - wild cherries not so good only 6 lbs on last trip.

The welcome from David, busy in the garden when we arrived, was warm and friendly.
The accommodation with accompanying items is very interesting, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast very good with just about all you could possibly consider, on offer. We particularly enjoyed the social aspect of just the one large dining table for use by all guests.
The location was just what we required, being in Boston Spa, but off the main road (lovely and quiet).

Four Gables is a beautiful old house in a quiet location. We were welcomed by David and Anne with a pot of tea and delicious fruit cake by the log fire. We stayed in the family room, very spacious with comfortable single beds and views of the lovely garden. A good night's sleep was followed by a tasty breakfast with plenty to choose from. Anne's home made jam is to die for! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Four Gables or to stay again in we are in the locality.

Thank you for your kind remarks. We hope the weather improves so we do not need the log fires. Jam production will soon be starting again.

Whenever I stay at Four Gables, I get a warm and genuine greeting and a comfortable room with one of the best breakfasts in Britain. Anne's preserves and special touches make breakfast special and the house and garden are beautiful. It is a real treat to stay which is why I keep going back !

Room Tip: All the rooms are comfortable and quiet.

Our arrival was on a clear full-moon night, Four Gables looked like a fairy tale castle! On arrival we were welcomed by Anne into the log fired hallway. Our only problem was to decide what we should have for breakfast, Anne provides a lovely cooked breakfast with a special choice each day... yes you have to decide the night before what you want but in a small B&B that seems reasonable to us. The room was warm and comfortable with all you could need in a B&B. And last of all...my car was parked under a tree and Anne told me the birds left several messages! So she had cleaned the car for me!!

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again, the birds have now nested and moved out of the tree. We had a busy weekend after your visit with 400 people visiting to view the garden in the NGS scheme - luckly just once a year. David & Anne Watts - owners
