Located off ME 77, this roughly half-mile (1.0 km) long, quite narrow, sandy, neighborhood beach lies between meandering Spurwink River and a rocky outcrop. Public and barrier-free access is via a path to the beach. Public parking is scarce, limited to a new public lot and a second smaller private lot nearby. Curbside parking on local streets near the beach is illegal. The beach is clean and nearly debris-free. Its views are dull and ordinary for the southern Maine coast. Other than its lack of public toilets, changing rooms, picnic tables, snack shops, or other facilities for beachgoers it’s a very family-friendly place to visit if you live within walking distance or rent a beach cottage.
