Stayed in cabin #6. It is a nice, well-maintained cabin with wood paneling, period furniture (old but in good condition), nice bed and full kitchen. The shower looked new and was very nice. The cabin was clean, and since it is located behind the motel and away from the road, it is quiet. The cabins are surrounded by trees, and all face a nice grassy area in front with gazebo and flowers. A small front porch with chairs, and the picnic table next to the cabin, give you nice places to sit and enjoy your stay. Very close to good seafood restaurants, and a short drive to Portland. I would definitely stay here again.

We picked this hotel because it was recommended by members of our family who were attending a wedding nearby. Everything bad you have read is true! The management is less than interested, the furniture is from the 50's, there is a strange smell but the worst thing is the filthy bathroom. Black mold everywhere and broken tiles. (see pictures) We left the second morning to get coffee and when we returned our door was open and the beds had been stripped. Some of our belongings were still inside and we had not checked out. The blanket (which had a stiff spot from not being washed) and the hideous bedspreads were on the floor. Good place for them since that is exactly where we put them. I would not sleep under those ever. I will say that the cabins looked to be cleaner, but another room that one of our party stayed in was equally disgusting as ours. My recommendation: find another place to stay or sleep in your car. At least the mold won't kill you.

Room Tip: Do not pick room 18!!! It is right by busy Route 1 and very noisy.

We stayed here for 2 nights for a friend's wedding in area. As a single mom traveling with 2 small children, I am sometimes a little nervous staying in unfamiliar places, but I felt safe at the Pride motel. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Good price too! I would stay there again if we are in the area.

Stayed during super peak season in Old Orchard Beach area, July 27-30, 2012 in a 1 queen bed room (#12).
Motel owners are very friendly.
Dave offered us a free cot bed for the 3rd member of our family. They was fully booked, no other room available.
Compares to other motels. This one is above average.

Room Tip: I guess for the same money. Cottages will be better.

This is our first trip to old orchard beach. We came with two other families. The kids ages ranged from four months to thirteen. The rooms were basic, what you would expect in a motel. Rooms were clean, overly deodorized though. It was very quiet. The kids loved the pool. We will probably stay here again next year.

We stayed here for a couple nights in July. We stayed in Room 10 next to the greenhouse. The cottages were old but well kept and very clean. They were far enough off the road not to be bothered by road noise. The price was good and we even had a furnished kitchen! Nice swimming pool and friendly staff. Highly recommended. We would happily return here when ever we pass through again. Great place.

Room Tip: Choose a cottage not a regular room. The cottages are a little farther off the road and quieter.

My wife and I stayed at Pride last year because it was so highly rated on TripAdvisor. We had a wonderful experience staying in our cottage and were looking forward to returning this year. While we were a bit skeptical because of new ownership, we continued to be impressed with the great customer service. In a nutshell, the landscaping is very well kept, the property is quiet and in a good location, our cabin was cleaned every day, and we were given all the basic kitchen appliances we needed for small dinners in. Overall, we loved our stay and consider this a great value in the Portland area.
