We camped for a week at this campground with 6 other campers. We all have large 5th wheel campers and had no problem getting into our spots. Lots of motor homes were also around so size isn't a problem. We were in the field area and there wasn't any shade to be found during the hottest week of the summer. Thankfully we had the air conditioners on but they couldn't keep up with the heat. Being a large group we were a little loud but we didn't get in trouble. The campground had lots of activities and a band which our group enjoyed. There were a lot if seasonal sites but not many people were there during the week so it was nice and quiet. We used the beach on the camper side of the lake and enjoyed it. It was a nice change from going to the ocean. We brought food and drinks from the campers over to the picnic tables on the beach and had a nice day. Water was clean and the beaches were sandy. Many of our group took the kayaks out but the lake isn't huge so they weren't gone long. One of the negatives was it is directly under the flight path for the airport but we were able to laugh about it. Campground was a short drive from almost everything and much less commercialized than others in the area. A nice man in a cowboy hat worked at the gate and greeted us with a smile everyday. He remembered our name too! Overall a great experience if there were a few more trees and less airplanes flying overhead.
