“Great food/entertainment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013 via mobile

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Love Thai food and fantastic to have an alternative in Sanford. Then being able to have cocktails and listen to karaoke was a plus.

“Fresh and Tasty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

I have eaten here twice so far, and have found the food delicious and fresh. Well prepared. I am not a Thai chef of course, but I have ample cooking experience, and can tell the difference between food prepared from fresh ingredients and the pre-packaged, pre-prepared fare served in so many restaurants these days. I think the chef is the owner, and he does a good job of ensuring flavor and freshness. The presentation is also well above average. We had the same server both times, and she was very pleasant and attentive. If you want something above average, instead of the same old chain food, give this place a try. Try a Kirin on tap in an ice cold glass while you are at it.

“"To your taste"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013 via mobile

This place is excellent. It's under new management, new menu, new prices. A real taste of Thai! You can order anything you want whatever way you want.their duck dish is excellent. You can order duck with any dish you'd like! I had the pad Thai with duck it was outstanding, very flavorful. I also had the Rangoon as an app. Thumbs up! Decor is great and atmosphere is more than welcoming! A definite recommendation!fried ice cream! "Yum" "ask about the Thai spaghetti!"

“New management, Not an improvement”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

We have been regulars at this restaurant over the last year. When we went there just after the new year we noticed that some remodeling had been done. The walls had been painted (poorly) new colors (not good ones), the bar was moved and all decorations and plants were gone.

We were told to sit wherever we liked. We sat in a booth and were brought menus. The menu had also suffered from the remodelers whims. Some items were gone and others added. When asked about the changes we were told that "they just took over," and "we've improved the menu and decor" and that they had just reopened. They should have taken longer with their "improvements" and picked different colors-Miami this is not.

We ordered Thai ice teas and began going over the menu. Some minor changes, Basil Fried rice became Thai Fried rice, duck is sadly no longer available with the rice or noodle dishes. Items that were typically spicy were marked with stars.

We ordered some favorites, pan fried dumplings, Basil Fried rice...oh, sorry, THAI fried rice with shrimp, and drunken noodle with beef (missing my duck...). Here is what we got:

Ice tea- very good but a bit smallish
dumplings- also good. nice browning and a good dipping sauce
Fried rice- adequate amount of shrimp, two dumplings, minimal vegetables, minimal flavor
Drunken noodle- looked good, two of the same dumplings on the plate as the rice had and a lemon wedge(??). The beef was well cooked. No heat to speak of and whimsical changes like crushed peanuts and pineapple were off putting. Again, minimal vegies and a flavor that by the end was more like Chinese sweet and sour.

Our waitress (who I would say was very new to the job) seemed surprised that I did not care for the pineapple. And when I mentioned the lack of heat she said they had a "five star" heat rating ...would have been nice to tell us about that when TAKING our order.

Overall, disappointing. We will not be back. They may close anytime!
