“Can't get any better!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We have stayed at this KOA seven or eight times and each time it exceeded our expectations. We have tented, stayed in both the one and two room cabins. On our last visit we booked a one room cabin, but were upgraded to a deluxe studio cabin at no additional charge as our cabin was not ready!

We have stayed at many KOA campgrounds as we really like the one room cabins but we have never found another that was equivalent to the Saco/Old Orchard beach for friendliness, cleanliness, security and overall setting. This KOA has been awarded both the KOA Founder's Award and President's Award. In our 20+ years of experience at staying with KOA, campgrounds that have these awards are premium campgrounds and the Saco/Old Ordchard beach KOA is no exception.

It just is not summer for our family until we have had a blueberry pancake breakfast at the onsite "Merry Moose" canteen!

Stayed 4 nights in rental trailer, our 2nd stay here with family. Trailer clean and tidy and when sink tap/faucet broke they had it replaced less than 2 hrs. Right beside funtown and only a trolley ride to OOB and the beach. We had a great time.

We have stayed at this campground 3 times with out 2 young children. We get one of the smaller cabins and love them.
The staff is EXCELLENT, the accommodations cozy and affordable, and they also have activities throughout the day for our kids. They have a trolley that takes you to a number of nearby locations. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We will be back again next year for sure.

Room Tip: Wait to take a shower until around 11am.

We spent three nights here and really had a lot of fun. The cabins are in a beautiful wooded setting. Upon arrival they have someone escort you to your cabin which was nice. Bathrooms weren't far away and were very clean. I took the trolley to the beach one evening - nice service. We ate dinner at the BBQ and the staff was very friendly and I enjoyed my cheeseburger and piece of blueberry pie. There were a lot if fun kid activities. Fun location and great friendly staff.

This is our 5th vacation with Saco/Old Orchard KOA and we are never disappointed. We will be returning. The staff, management and owners are simply exceptional people. Very friendly and great service. The facilities are clean and very well-maintained. Children have the chance to enjoy themselves and campers are friendly. We are so happy with our stay. Thank you nice again to the KOA Saco team.

After an exausting search for a room in late July 2013, I thought I would never be able to find a room in the Biddeford/Saco area for less than a $100.00 a night. I stumbled upon this website -w ith campgrounds with rental cottages. I called and they had a studio - that they would let me have for one night - for less than 100.00. Well my daughter and I get there and the cabin was not made up - went back to the office - and they were very apologetic and wanted to give us $20.00 to go get coffee and doughnuts - who does that? We waited - Well the cabin was just adorable. It had a screened in porch with table and chairs. Inside bed, tv, kitchenette, heat, ac, lounge chair and foot rest. My only complaint would be there is no where to hang anything up - There was a coffee maker with coffee - so nice. You park right next to your cabin - watch out for the fire pits. We walked around the campground - the rv have their own security system to get in and out. There were two pools, playground and outdoor bathrooms and showers. I definitely would come back here again. It was quiet even though on Route 1 - There was the trolley that takes you right to Old Orchard Beach, if you do not want to drive. There is a small gift shop and of course you can buy ice and firewood. The owners are caring people and wanted to make sure our studio was fine after the mishap - and of course it was.

Our kids loved the daily activities organised enthusiastically by young staff. Tie dying, pancakes, burgers, deserts, films and more. Staff was in general very friendly. We even had a problem with our rented RV, which the staff ended up fixing (through our roadside assistance call center) at a short notice.

There was also a trolley taking us to Old Orchard beach.

Tidiness of showers and toilets could be better.
