Sept. 23-26, 2007.. The Ledges is a jewel in the rough. It is a small roadside motel located near Rockland and Camden, ME. Our room was oceanfront with beautiful views of Penobscot Bay! The owners were very nice and this was a very reasonably priced hotel for the location. This was by far one of the cleanest hotels that I have ever stayed in... We would definitely return for another visit to this location!!!

I stayed here with my wife for a couple of nights during July. The staff was accomidating and seemed to work hard even though motel jobs can be crappy. The rooms were clean. The pool was nice.There were outdoor games which you could play. Internet access made it wonderful. Even the lady runnning the free breakfast buffet worked hard to make sure they didn''t run out of anything. This is a great place. The large room was cleaned and made up everyday. This was sure a great find for us.

This is not an upscale place but very attractive for price and ocean view. It was clean and very functional. A bonus was the lady taking care of the outside summer plants. She was a delight to speak with and had some good tips for enjoying Maine.

My Mother and I attended a family gathering in the Glen Cove area. Rather than having to do a late night drive back to Bath, we booked a stay with the Ledges.

What an unexpedted treat!
The view is breathtaking...and the gorgeous, expansive lawn between the motel and the water is set up for croquet and badminton. A great place for children to romp, and parents to unwind! There are comfy chairs down by the water with a canopy for protection from the sun...There are flowers everywhere...beautiful gardens, and containers, and the hanging plants are stunning. There was even a whimsical 5 Ft. lobster with a cut-out in the "face" for souvenir photos, with of course, that stunning view of the bay for the background.

The coffee room was another highlight! Lots of huge maps and information about the area...Nice large pictures and panoramic photos done by local photographers...The complimentary continental breakfast was filled with many choices...not only coffee, juices and milk, but an array of pastries, and breads with many choices for toppings; teas, both herbal and regular; decaf coffee for my mother: we left without hunger or thirst...Thank You!

The pool.........very clean, and the water was silky warm...lots of chairs for lounging in the sun....and the surrounding flowers added more eye candy, (as if it were needed) for the view of the bay...

I had a bit of a problem hooking up to the internet. One call to the office and I was quickly on my way down the internet highway!

The staff, was friendly and efficent...(they kept our very comfortable room ship shape) The owner's are absolutely the perfect host's...They are Maine at it's finest!

A very family-friendly lodging, with extremely reasonable rates for all of the delightful accommodations!

Thank you for a most marvelous stay at your motel...We will be back again later in the summer!
