We just happened to stop at Suzuki's, because we were hungry and didn't have our hearts set on any one restaurant. So glad we did. It was definitely the best sushi we've ever eaten.
The miso soup was like no other miso soup. The broth had a delicious mushroom flavor. Based on taste alone, it could be a meal in and of itself.
For our main course we had the Special Omakase Assortment for two, which consisted of various sushi and sashimi selected by Chef Keiko. It was wonderful and included some fantastic lobster, which we'd never before eaten as sushi, as well as the most delicious crab rolls. The scallops practically melted in our mouths. Every bite was heavenly.
Midway through dinner my spouse started referring to Keiko as a "goddess" and began strategizing how he could move to Rockland so he could eat at Suzuki's every night. Trusting Keiko, after our meal he also ordered the Keiko's Favorite maki, and he fell in love (with the food, I hope) all over again.
We'll be back.
