Being my first time at a Bed & Breakfast, I was a little tentative. My concerns were allayed when I walked into the Old Granite Inn. What a wonderful home it was with its large front room overlooking the harbor and roomy dinning area where we all shared breakfast each morning. Our room was well appointed with a comfortable king size bed. There was a opaque privacy pocket door that slid back into the wall when not in use. We had a wall unit with a fireplace in it and a flat screen TV on top. The bathroom was roomy with a whirlpool tub.
The experience was only heightened when we came down for breakfast after our first night's stay. The homemade quiche, sconces, johnny cakes and fresh cut fruit was wonderful. Each day we were there, the breakfast served seemed to be better than the day before. The innkeepers, Ed and Joan, were delightful.
This is a place we would return to when we are back in the area. I highly recommend it. It was a 10 out of 10. With this experience, we will be looking into staying in more bed & breakfasts when traveling in the future.
