Atlantic Bakery, as the name suggests, is primarily a bakery with a limited number of tables where you may eat sandwiches made on the premises. The "decor" is bland and offers nothing of interest except the view of people passing outside.
The bakery's breads are of mixed quality. They make a nice white bread and a good raisin nut bread (usually available only on Friday). Their sourdough is mediocre, and their multigrain is dry and kind of tasteless. Sandwiches vary in quality but all have fatty, gristly, skimpy and unappetizing cold cuts and minimal condiments which add nothing. I have tried all their sandwiches and not found one I could recommend. They offer a few salads, all of which are unexceptional in every way.
Service at the counter is reasonably fast, and sandwiches are pre-prepared, so if you're really in a hurry, you can get in and out faster than most places downtown - other than that, there's little to recommend.
