“Saddleback's Best Opening Day! Great Place to enjoy it!”

We love this place! The owner Travis has been so accomadating! We have been visiting the Rangeley Inn regularly for the past year as we've searched for the perfect weekend get away. We decided to build a home and have been visiting every other weekend. The Inn has a separate waterfront pet friendly building that has been home for us. What's really great is the wonderful continental breakfast that is included. We have also experienced the great culinary skills of their chef in the cozy pub. We encourage people to come to Rangeley and enjoy the hospitality of Travis, Jen, and the whole staff.

Room Tip: Love the suite, water views in two directions. Love those loons.

My husband and I splurged for a 2 night stay. Our room was located in the building on Haley pond. We just loved our stay and wished we could have stayed for a week. This was our first visit so we had nothing to compare it to but met the owner(delightful young man) who is very hands on and is involved in all aspects of running the hotel well. The food in the dining room was excellent and reasonably priced. At night we could hear the loons. It was hot everywhere else but we had a cool breeze coming off the pond and were able to have open windows. The town and surrounding area is fun, low key and not very commercialized. We would return in a minute and look forward to when we can go again.

Room Tip: our room had a small deck with stairs leading down to the pond. I think all rooms in this building w...

A lovely old inn that has been restored and modernized. Great location between Maine Street and Haley Pond, with beautiful water views from many rooms. Enjoyed watching the ducks and loons on the pond. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The antique sleigh in the lobby, along with the historic photos along the halls, added to the ambiance. Great value for the price!

Room Tip: Definitely worth the extra cost for a water view!

Forget the traffic on "the Kanc" and other well-worn foliage drives in New England! Rangley Lakes region has beautiful vistas, lakes, fall foliage.. And a new owner at the grand dame Rangeley Inn. The place is about halfway through its revival, with refurbished rooms and a great new chef..... Currently at prices 20-25% less than other similar facilities! It's a bargain right now and quiet!

Stay in the new rm 47 with comfy king bed, loons in the pond you can see through the french door to your balcony. Lounged in the whirilpool tub after a day of hiking and cruising on the lake.

Staff very accommodating without fussiness. This is the most relaxing long weekend we've had in a long time.

Great food staff and room. I stayed here three nights on a fishing trip last week and so enjoyed it that I am bringing my girlfriend back for a night this week. If you are coming to Rangeley stay here it is a fantastic value and hotel experience. These people are innkeepers.

Four years ago, I stayed 2 nights for a much-needed zero day while thru-hiking the AT. So I took my wife back recently to share some of my experience. The hotel has new owners, with some renovated rooms, which were very nice. Not that the older rooms were not nice, but the new ones are even nicer. Beautiful fall colors and weather, along with stepping foot on the AT again, made the stay well worth it. Dinner was nice in the restaurant also.

Just spent a wonderful weekend with my wife at the Rangeley Inn and Tavern! If you love a place with historic character, then ya gotta make this Inn your place like we did! Right from the moment you first step into the lobby you truly have to take a minute or two just to absorb your surroundings! INN-credible! Stunning!! We were at a loss for words!!
To the right of the front desk we went and looked at the dining room that we would be having one of the best, no THE BEST continental breakfast Quiche's we have ever had as well as blueberry muffins and an assortment of bagels and other breakfast food stuffs!
Straight through the next door is the Tavern. Oh Ya!!!!!!! The menu was great! Order whatever you like on the menu because it's all going to be wonderful! However ya better save room for dessert!! We had the Peach Bread Pudding! (we were told that they make many flavored bread puddings featured at different times) I have found there are two types of bread pudding 1) horrible and 2) freaking incredible. Freaking incredible is how to best describe the Taverns version of Peach Bread Pudding! How freaking incredible you ask?? Freaking incredible enough we ate two portions! You get the idea!! The room we had was really clean, comfy, and cozy and a wonderful step back in time. We loved the character of the room as well as the entire Inn. (Ya have to ask the owner Travis his story about how he came about being owner.) The entire staff is very laid back but really professional without giving you that stuffy feeling. Location, location, location, and the Inn is perfectly located so you can enjoy the entire downtown Rangeley area just walking distance. Go over to the local sandwich shop, or grocery store like we did and make yourself a picnic lunch or suppah and park yourself in an Adirondack style chair behind the Inn down at the edge of the pond and just take in all of the beauty that the Rangeley Inn and beautiful Rangeley has to offer! ( lakes and mountains in the Rangeley region are stunning) Yes we are going back! We didn't wanna leave!! And if you have made it this far into this review and haven't made a reservation yet, then I have no idea what you could possibly be waiting for!! Stop reading and just do it!! You can finish this later, plus my fingers are getting sore and I'm long winded so who knows how much longer I could go on for!

Great food! Great Staff! Great accommodations! Great price!!
