Clam chowder was good. Seafood platter was below average very disapointing. Server was very polite and checked on you often. Atmosphere was good. Kids meal daughter odered cheese pizza that was just bad. Wife ordered lobster steak and cheese was good.

“Very Nice Place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

Had an excellent meal here! Prime Rib Meatball Marinara served over bow tie pasta! Along with a couple Shipyard Ale beers, and the baseball playoffs of the big TV!!! Great evening!!

“Lobster doesn't get any better!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

We wanted fresh lobster and it can't get any better than right off the ports of Maine! We had fresh lobster and baked haddock stuffed with lobster and topped with lobster bisque sauce and lobster chunks! Wow! The atmosphere was quaint and pub-like and it dated way back . Perfect for lunch or dinner.

“Do not go here!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

This restaurant seemed to have a great ambiance while walking by the open doors downtown. Eating here was a huge regret. Horrible horrible service, asked if we wanted bread to eat before our meal comes out and we said yes, my family and I each ordered salads and clam chowder/chili. The waitress brought it the soups first, the chili looked like it had been frozen then warmed up in the microwave. We finished our soups and didn't receive our salads for a couple minutes. Literally as we paid our bills, another waitress came up with our rolls...a little too late. Our bill ended up being $50...for soup and salads..horrible disappointment. Again horrible.

“Good Food/Good Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

While on a cruise stopped in at the Old Port Tavern in Portland, Me. Service was very good, and the location was easy to get to from the port area. I did not eat the lobster, but the people with me did and raved about it. They were served two lobsters and a side dish, and the price was quite a value. The clam chowder was excellent. All in all it was a great meal a a very fair price.
