“Fantastic food and great service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Love the atmosphere and decor of this restaurant. If you are in Portland and love seafood, this is a must visit! My boyfriend had Mahogany clams with chorizo and I had Oysters as starters and we shared the Lobster Diavolo as main course. All of our dishes was sooo tasty.
We came just before closing time, the staff welcomed us warmly and never rush us to finish our meals or drinks. We had an awesome night!

“A must try while in Portland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

We go to Portland at least 3 times a year and we don't book the stay unless we know we can get a reservation. Might sound drastic but thats how much we love this place! It has an open kitchen where it does become smoky at times and noisy. I can see how some might find that to be unappealing but it adds to the experience for me. On the weekends it is busy busy. So make sure you have reservations and this is especially true if you are going to be planning a trip to Portland. Seafood is the name of the game here and there is plenty of it. The infamous Lobster Diavolo which comes with a whole lobster and an assortment of seafood in red sauce over pasta is something you should try at least once. It is definitely more than enough for 2 and possibly 3 so plan your courses accordingly. Lobster over Linguine is more of dish for 1 and you get a whole broiled lobster over some delicious pasta with butter garlic sauce, and I do mean garlic. Sole Francaise also a dish for 1 is something that is lighter but packed with flavor. They also always have specials in addition to the mainstays. I can say that no matter what I've had there it is all good. Once you find your favorites Im sure Street & Co will become part of your Portland tradition.

“A seafood restaurant that can't cook seafood”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

So maybe we came here on an off night - this place was recommended by some foodie friends as being a favorite of theirs, but boy did our entrees fall short of our expectations.

First, let me say that the service was excellent - our waitress, a young blonde woman, was friendly and attentive - and the appetizers (oysters, salad) were good. My entree, a "fisherman's stew" that was a nightly special, was so overcooked it was almost inevitable. It tasted as if it had been left on the burner for 10 additional minutes after everything had cooked - chewy, dry seafood lost in a sea of flavorless broth. My wife's fish entree was marginally better but just okay - she didn't finish it.

Blueberry pie for dessert was delish.

“Fantastic find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

Portland doesn't lack for great dining options, and Street & Co. is among the best. My friend and I enjoyed generous portions of fancy fare, and the date taste was divine.

“Order the scallops!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

Fantastic meal, shared the scallops and sole specials. Both were wonderful! Served with crunchy vegetables and potato. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The noise is loud, but certainly not unpleasant. I think it's due to the low ceiling and old building. Don't let that deter you!
