We recently stayed at this hotel and loved the location. It is right across the street from the main ferry terminal and within close walking distance to virtually everything on the waterfront. We brought our two dogs and stayed on their "pet friendly" third floor. Here's a tip, don't bother getting a so called water view on the pet floor because the third floor is not really high enough up to enjoy it. Thankfully, the woman at the front desk clued us in. They charged an extra fifty dollars for the pets, which was fine. We ran out of hot water during the shower, but it was warm enough. The room was very nice but expensive. Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives, and we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 nite, arrived around 2:30 went directly to room, nice room 5th floor, waterivew overlooking Casco Bay, not sure if the view was worth the extra money, especially as we were only there for 1 nite and werent in the room much, really only to sleep.

Nice touch, refridge. in room as well as coofee maker and well as a microwave....if travelling with family handy.....

room was typical with a king bed sofa ect...

location was the best feature.....park and walk everywhere....would stay again........front desk was extremely nice and helpful....another great feature.....

Stayed two nights at the HGI in Portland. Room was nice, clean and fairly spacious. Had a room on the second floor with a semi-obstructed view of the bay. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The valet brought our car around in minutes every time we asked.

Location was very good. Easy to find when we got to town. We were able to walk around the Old Port, up to the Portland Museum of Art., and to the Shipyard Brewery for the tour.

The Standard Baking Company located next door to the hotel is a great reason to stay here. Had fresh baked goods for breakfast each morning (sticky buns were awesome).

Overall a great weekend away in Portland.

We stayed at the Hilton Portland Waterfront on our first visit to Maine. The great location in the center of Portland made it easy to walk to loads of shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning. The staff was very helpful and accomodating.
