“Small but full of history!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

We missed the train ride that goes on the hour but we all enjoyed visiting and walking inside the passenger trains. My children ages 6-12 all enjoyed it.

“Worth a visit, if your into railroad history.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

Great railroad artifacts are to be seen. I thought it would be a bigger "display". The Guest Engineer program was ok, but could be improved.

“kids liked it but it's not that exciting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

The train ride takes you along the water out about 10-15 minutes down through the park and then back to the museum. The nice thing they do is they stop at the end and let the kids get up in the engine to sound the whistle and you can take their picture. The museum is small but they have a couple interesting things inside. Our son loves trains so he liked it but we've been to better train museums.

“Good outing for children.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

My grandson (aged 4) loved the train ride. It is only 1 1/2 mile trip, but plenty for him. I saw both older and younger children enjoying themselves with family. The museum part is small, but has train engines, caboose, passenger car that may be of interest to older children. Worth the trip

“Good for kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013 via mobile

We had a good time here on a Monday. The kids liked going through the old train cars and trying out the telegraph. There were a lot of interesting pictures and signs around too. MAKE SURE YOU GET THERE BEFORE 3 - we missed the last train ride of the day by 5 minutes. A fun place to spend an hour.
