“Wonderful place and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013 via mobile

This place specialize in Italian food and we enjoyed it very much. The menu is limited but they made adjusments to the food for my taste so I was very satisfied. The girl who served us (didnt get her name unfortunatly) was so nice, funny and helpful. The only thing that bothered my husband was the place they seated us- in front of the toilet...we think they should not put a table there at all. Over all we recommend this place warmly.

“Awesome homemade pasta!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

With limited menu choices the pasta and sauces are incredible! The prices have increased so it's a bit pricey for pasta at lunch. $9 and change for a pasta dish only. We used to get lunch from there at work for about $11-$12 for pasta and a salad, now it seems more like a splurge at around $16 for the same.

“Classic Italian At Its Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

When you go to Paciarino, do not think Italian-American. Think Italian. More than think Italian, enjoy real Italian. There is no meatballs and pasta, no chicken or veal Parmigiano, or anything else that you find at a typical Italian-American restaurant.

The owner, from Milan, has brought the dishes of Milan to Portland for all to enjoy. My wife and I have dined there at least ten times and we have yet to be disappointed.

It should be said that all of the sauces and all of the pastas are made fresh on premises every day. That should tell you alot right there. Whatever you order will be fresh and delicious.

On our last visit, I had the Ravioli Goat Cheese al Pomodoro. It is probably my favorite item on the menu. The pasta has a good chew to it, the goat cheese is flavorful and just softly melts in your mouth and the sauce compliments, rather than dominates, the dish.

A great thing about Paciarino, however, is that all of their pastas and sauces are available for purchase to take home. For the cost of one main course, you can purchase a pasta and sauce to generously feed two people. The taste is exactly the same as if you were dining in the restaurant. A salad, some bread and a good wine and you have a very fine meal.

Portland is lucky that they decided to come here to offer us the dishes of their native Milan. Thank you!

“Amazing pasta, Great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

My husband and I were traveling in Portland for the weekend, and by dinnertime he wasn't feeling that well. Food reviews have a bunch of big chef restaurants that are supposedly amazing but price points are high and we are picky eaters. We weren't thrilled by others' menus and were pretty hungry but a bit exhausted after a full day, and honestly couldn't make up out minds about where to go eat. We headed to Miyake's but last minute swerved next door into Paciarino's. Luck had it and the best table in the house was available with no wait (this was Saturday night!). Staff were super-friendly, our waiter was happy to make substitutions based on both allergies and preference (the latter especially is really non-obvious). We split an appetizer (crostini) and entree (ravioli with goat cheese, sub butter&sage for tomato sauce), including two rounds of complimentary bread. The dishes were pitch-perfect, size was not American-type huge but just what we needed. The pasta was clearly freshly-made and very tasty. Were definitely stuffed and happy by the end of the (admittedly not huge) dinner and no leftovers, thankyouverymuch. We wrapped up with dessert, for the husband's birthday they gave us his choice of dessert on the house (very nice!). Tiramisu came with extra chocolate on top and was huge, he enjoyed and we took more than half home with us. We didn't look at the wine menu but a lot of people seemed to be enjoying it. Price was downright cheap and especially when compared to all the super-pricey-and-slightly-risky spots around. All in all a great experience and we will likely come back on our next trip in town!
