“Yummy, yummy, yummy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2011

We absolutely love this restaurant, we always come when we're in town. It's worth the wait. We had dinner one evening and just had to return the following evening to try the other items that sounded delicious. The catfish, the polenta, the desserts...everything is excellent. The staff here is wonderful too. So helpful, so nice, so friendly!
The feel of Hot Suppa is cozy, inviting; almost like I'm having dinner at a friend's house.

“We can't wait to return for breakfast!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2011

After a disappointing look at the breakfast our bed and breakfast was offering, we decided to walk across the street Hot Suppa. One of the BEST breakfasts we have ever had. We only live about an hour away and we both will make the drive just for breakfast. We also look forward to trying dinner....that menu looked scrumptious!!!

“Scrumptious, fresh breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2011

So, you will probably have to wait awhile to be seated. We waited over 30 minutes. But it is well worth it. The food is high quality and the service is friendly and quick. With all that time, we scoured the menu and ordered as soon as we were seated. The menu was so awesome that it was hard to choose. My husband had the corned beef hash, which is made in house and is very, very good. I had the local, organic, 7-grain porridge which was really good (of course I added a couple helpings of brown sugar to it). The lemonade is made to order according to how much sweetness you like, which is so fantastic! They also have high quality tea, which is a must for me since I don't drink coffee. The decor is local artwork and it's funky, eclectic nature go with the diverse clientele. It seems people from all over Portland choose Hot Suppa for a delicious, healthy breakfast.

“Nice, friendly, local eatery- you will be happy to eat here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2011

Visited Hot Suppa on a Friday morning in July with a friend. Had the Breakfast English muffin/bacon/scrambled egg and scarfed it right up. Just the right amount of food for a 50-something female with a long day of LLBean ahead! The restaurant is clean, waitstaff friendly, good value for $. I'd go there again for any meal. Support the local economy!

“A must in Portland!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2011

Before we traveled to Portland, we had heard wonderful things about this place. I am very happy to say that everything we read was absolutely true!!

We stopped by for a mid-week breakfast. Even during the middle of the week, there was a short wait. It's a small restaurant, but apparently, very popular. The wait was not long at all and the waitstaff was very friendly.

Got a window seat, which was very nice. The coffee was excellent and came quickly.

We had 3 people in our party; one was a child. He got a delicious looking waffle, which was gone in about 3 minutes! One person got eggs and the hash, which we had heard wonderful things about. The eggs looked delicious and velvety (how do they do that??). He was extremely pleased. I got the fruit plate, which was HUGE. It came with yogurt and a delicious homemade granola. Also, I had to get a side of toast because it just looked so yummy -- and it was!!

Sad that we had a short stay because I bet this place has delicious lunch and dinner items.

This place is a MUST in Portland.
