“A brilliant revival”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

The quintessential reinvented New England harbor front, right down to the cobblestone streets. Where do you start? This is a 3 day weekend all in itself. Authentic wharf restaurants with lobster and crab, charming shops (not too much touristy stuff, some really good arts and crafts), picturesque alleyways -- it's reason enough to come to Portland for a long weekend. Charming, charming, charming. Plan a holiday shopping expedition!

“Great Shopping & Cruises”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

My husband and I really enjoyed all the different shops and we both purchased some great clothing items, as well as some jewelry and other accessories. The Casco Bay cruise was wonderful so be sure to check this out if you're in Old Port for the day.

“A Jewel in Portland, ME”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

It felt like we were in San Franciso. Rolling streets give way to a charming, operating Port by the sea. Fish Markets , restaurants and quaint shops are abundant. There are several walking tours, but be sure to check the times as they vary in the Fall. I could have easy spent a day down here, it was so invigorating and hard to take in everything in a few hours. Make your way up the side streets to find great cafes and coffee shops. Park on the side streets, fill the meter and go stroll!

“The Old Port has something for everyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

We were here for an afternoon but we could easily have spent the entire day. There are great restaurants and brew pubs featuring local beers. Because of the historic nature of the area most places had great old fashoned atmospheres. There is all types of shopping at all different price ranges. Also great coffee shops and bakeries and ice cream shops. It is also waterfront with great views of the harbor.f
