“Nice little (way out of the way) lighthouse”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

The Marshall Point Lighthouse and Museum is at the very far end of Port Clyde peninsula. The lighthouse itself is small and not accessible, the door is locked shut. The museum is interesting and makes it easy to follow the story of the lighthouse and its many stewards. There is a bounty of historical information about the Port Clyde area. But an hour or two is more than sufficient as it is a small museum. If not in the area, you may want to pass on this one, as the almost 20 mile drive from RT 1 is a long back road journey.

“Very interesting displays”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012 via mobile

This small museum and lighthouse is an easy walk from downtown Port Clyde. The staff was attentive, and the displays were educational.

Very pretty location, lots of picture taking opportunities. Very scenic lighthouse typical of what you would expect in Maine.

“Beautiful views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

We stopped by on our way to Port Clyde and were impressed by the views. There was a group of budding artists on the grounds attending a lecture.
