Location, Location... above average. Faced the beach and only a couple of blocks from the Pier and downtown. The motel itself is old, very bare bones. The rooms were large and sparsely furnished.. but it was clean. Some stains on the carpet but again, it is far from newly decorated. Shirley, not sure if she was the owner, was more than helpful and would do whatever you needed to make your stay comfortable. The bathroom had new tub surrounds and definately needed bigger towels. We would go back here again.. probably will next year.

The one amazing thing about this hotel was the view. one word *AMAZING*. You are literally steps away from the pier and ocean front! My family and I decided to make another one nighter to OOB, upon arriving there we soon found out every one of the better places to stay were booked and this place was the ONLY place with rooms. We were to soon see why. Upon arriving @ the front desk we met with an older lady ( very nice lady too ) we got our ( 100.00 ) room, which we didnt expect during the off season. Get to the room and wow what a fright! The carpets were filthy! The bedding , bathroom and towels were clean i must say. Most of the hotels in OOB are much the same, run down! The carpet had burn holes,stains of all sorts, the AC was so dusty i had to clean it just to make it sort of give off any cold air. The hotel was very noisy during the night, until morning actually 3 am, teens were running amok, yelling, banging etc etc. We wouldn't stay there again for certain. But if you don't mind dirty rugs,noisy teeny boppers the view is wonderful and you couldn't get any closer to the beach, this place is for you. When booking be sure to ask for ocean front!

After looking at this motel online and making a last minute decision because there was one room left, we were off for what we thought was a nice stay beach side with our family. When we arrived, the room had clearly been a smoking room and stunk. There was no option to move as the hotel was booked. Stains on the carpet, bare minimum furnishings, holes in the window screens. Only nice thing about this hotel is the nice man at the front desk and the ocean view. You pay for the view and nothing else.
