“Better & Better...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2010

We have been staying at the Inn for years through several changes in ownership. We truly thought it had reached it's peak with the improvements the last owners had completed and felt bereft with their deprature. We returned again this year with some trepidation and feeling of loss, to an even BETTER Inn. Upgrades abounded...new, incredibly comfortable beds, frigs in the rooms, expanded yummy breakfasts to name a few.But most important to us...warm and welcoming hosts, Bruce & Scott (and lets not forget Charles), were eager to help with anything to make our stay all the more stress-free and comfortable. We love the deck and beautiful pool/hot tub area when beaching isn't an option.Big fluffy towels, iced tea and even tanning lotion are at your poolside disposal. There is little in the way of amenities at 2V that hasn't been considered. It's simply a wonderful accomodation!
This has always been a gay-friendly Inn in which we have felt comfortable and welcomed. One gets the impression that 2V is being marketed as more mainstream in it's inclusivity. I noted the pride flag is no longer flying. One wonders if there might be a change in clientele over time.I hope not. ...it's perfect now.

Bruce and Scott were absolutely the most helpful innkeepers my wife and I have ever dealt with. From booking the room over the phone to checkout and everything in between this place is the ultimate example of service and attention to detail. We loved our stay and would love to go back every year.

Location is also perfect as its quick walk to the main part of town, restaurants, and the Marginal Way path near the ocean. We also were able to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine looking out over the sea from the porch or our bedroom window.

Breakfast was amazing, the property was beautiful, and the room was cozy. Since it rained one day (all day) we were able to cuddle up in bed and watch a movie as they were stocked with a wide array of DVDs and DVD players in each room. They have seemingly thought of everything.

All this at very affordable rates. Highly recommended!

We stayed three nights. It was absolutely fantastic. The facility was spotless, the location is the best, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We borrowed the backpack beach chairs to use at the beach, swam in the heated pool and enjoyed the hot tub. We loved sitting on the rockers on the front porch while we enjoyed the view. Oh, and yes, we had our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with us. Even the dogs were welcomed! Bruce made the BEST breakfasts! We definitely want to return to this wonderful place again!

Truly a relaxing and cozy place to be, with great amenities. The staff makes you feel so welcome and right like home. The breakfeast is of excellent quality and variety. The rooms are comfortable and very well equiped. They even provide a beach towel !!!

It is worth every dollar you pay for ...... We are just so eager to be back. The nice part of it is that it's not a gay resort, but a friendly gay resort, so you meet different type of people which are easy going and regulars of the house ........

I stayed at the Inn at 2 Village Square for a week in August 2010. It was without a doubt one of the best vacation stays I have had anywhere. The other reviewers have noted the amenities, the cleanliness of the facilities, and the wonderful breakfasts. They are right on the money. But the real stars of the show are the innkeepers, Scott and Bruce, and their assistant and night manager Charles. They are warm, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive-- and they did everything they could to make my stay comfortable, from making dinner reservations to providing beach chairs and towels and introducing me to other guests. The inn is social and friendly in the best possible way, as a result, and it felt to me like a home away from home. The location of 2 Village Square is hard to beat-- in the middle of the Village near restaurants, bars, shops and the beach, but on a hill above the fray (literally), so that the place is peaceful and amenable to sleeping with open windows. Bruce, Scott and Charles are relative newcomers to the Inn, and they are obviously making the place their labor of love.

We have been coming to Ogunquit for 24 years. We've stayed at this inn under two other management teams. With each change, the inn has gotten better ....BUT, with Bruce and Scott the NEW Two Village Square Inn is FANTASTIC!!

These gentleman have invested talent, time, money and staff to take this from a standard B&B to a Resort Destination.

We really liked how Bruce anticipated our every need, how his hospitality and helpfulness is genuine, and his desire to see that we had a good time ensured that our stay at Two Village Square was like coming to a brand new place.

What's new:

In the Rooms: Flat panel TVs with DVD players and a library downstairs with a good selection of discs. A Keurig Coffee machine with a good selection of K-Cups that are restocked daily (although there is always great Green Mountain Coffees avaiable downstairs). The new beds are incredibly comfortable, a welcome change from past owners, and the linen are soft and snuggly. Upgraded toweling and boutique quality bath amenities. Also, in room refrigerator was a welcome addition.

In the Common Areas: New wall art, a breakfast room with ice machine and the breakfasts....delicious. There was a rotation of scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes, Belgian waffles (GREAT!) and French toast (my personal favorite)! Fruit, yogurt, cereal, breakfast meat, and homemade scones (really good!!!).

The Pool Area: New lounge furniture and a new HEATED pool and spa that uses a salt conditioning system vs. chlorine...and it makes your skin feel great.

The Grounds: This was always an ocean view inn. But now you can see the ocean like never before because of careful tree pruning. The inn still has great grounds...actually better than ever with more flowers and bushes than ever before and a new mid-level sitting area that is designated for smokers (no smoking in the inn or near it) but we used this area because it also had great views and comfortable adirondack chairs.

The Staff:
The best! Scott and Bruce are incredibly helpful, kind and courteous and Charles (the night manager) is a treat. They all really care that you are having a good time. They also have hired plenty of help to make sure that the rooms are cleaned and refreshed promptly and that the grounds are neat and tidy.

One more kudo...the Saturday 5PM mixer...very fun and they had incredible hors d'oeuvres from the Village Market.

Thanks to all for making this our best visit ever!

My wife Anne and I spent two fabulous nights at Two Village Square. We were met with smiles from Bruce and Scott (the owners) in addition to all the other guests. Where else can you go out on the town and be greeted with 'WELCOME HOME" on return. The place was immaculate, seriously you could eat off the floors. Talking about eating, the breakfast was fresh and delicious and the choices varied each morning. They have a giant sparkling pool and hot tub and a comfortable outdoor lounging area. There are also plush common areas indoors. In addition, 2TV supplies free wireless internet and a free DVD library that you can borrow for the player built into the TV in your room. Would we go back? Definitely, but I think next year Anne and I will check out Bruce and Scott's Gazebo Inn down the block and give the guys a break! Lol! Hey Bruce and Scott we love you guys! Take care! Best, Mike and Anne
