My friend and I had great meals at Angelina's Restaurant in Ogunquit, ME the other night. This was our second visit to the restaurant, but if definitely will not be our last! We started out with cocktails and nice rolls. The olive oil at the table for dipping was great!! For dinner, I ordered the Shrimp Scampi which was wonderful...would have liked a bit more garlic, however, it was wonderful as served! My friend had Lobster ravioli in a lobster cream sauce and she said it was delicious! We shared a Caesar Salad which was very good, with nice shavings of cheese from the "cheese & rolls man" - not soggy with dressing, and they actually split the salad for us and served it in two plates (many restaurants leave it up to you to split from the one salad bowl and can be awkward and messy!). The "cheese & rolls man" was absolutely delightful...we spoke and joked about his job (think he is a waiter also) and his personality just added to the nice evening! Our waiter, Carlos, was superb! He was there when we needed him, yet never hovering! He also was a knight in shining armor when I had a slight mishap with my wine! We had a coupon for 1/2 off on a second entrée that encouraged us to dine at Angelina's....nice special! However, we are already looking forward to dining there again (without a coupon!) and maybe trying the Chicken Marsala or one of the many other great sounding meals on the menu!
We have dined at another Italian restaurant in the area that was a favorite of ours for several years but thought we should branch out a bit.....so, so glad we did!
