5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2008

I absoultely loved this B and B! Linda and Dick were amazing hosts. The room was beautiful and spacious. The breakfast was great and the location to the beach and time were great too. I travel a great deal and have stayed many places in Ogunquit...but this was my favorite!!

We can’t say enough about this Inn. From the moment we were greeted by Linda, to the 3 short days later we departed, our experience was perfect. Dick and Linda are wonderful, warm and friendly people. Linda’s breakfasts are to die for (especially the puffy pear pancakes) along with Dick’s charming service. We stayed in the sunny Jenny Holden room which was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

We are forever spoiled for other Inns/B&Bs….

16 Beach Street B&B was our first adventure into the bed & breakfast world. We had mixed emotions/expectations going in but by the time our 2nd night was coming to an end, we were sad we weren’t staying longer. From remembering unique details of our connection to Ogunquit from a short conversation two months prior to preparing an amazing atmosphere to begin each day, Dick and Linda were amazing innkeepers. The room was fabulous - decorated with an artistic eye and a touch of class. The location was quite desirable, close to everything you want to see and do in Ogunquit. The rental car was a waste because my wife and I couldn’t stop walking around the neighborhood, taking in the smells and sights.

We came to Maine to get refreshed and rejuvenated. The 16 Beach Street B&B helped get us there. We are already looking forward to our next trip.

Thanks for the memories!

We have traveled a lot but this was our first B & B experience and we couldn't have been happier. The location is the area's best - in the heart of downtown's shopping and restaurants, just a short walk from the beach. Dick and Linda were the warmest hosts and it was obvious they love what they're doing. Their enthusiasm for the town was contagious, always ready to make a suggestion for dinner or a day trip. We loved the personal touches they put on everything that you don't find in hotels (fresh flowers in the room, pump soaps, padded hangers, sachets in the drawers...). We slept in the most comfortable bed every night, woke up every morning to a delicous gourmet breakfast, enjoyed walking to the beach, touring the adjacent towns, arriving back at "home" to enjoy cold lemonade and homebaked cookies every afternoon, and relaxing after dinner sitting on the porch by candle light. 16 Beach Street is truly a "Beautiful Place By The Sea"!

What can we say this was our first B&B experience an it surely WILL NOT BE OUR LAST. Linda and Dick natural hosts and go out of there way to make your stay memorable.
Location location location as the web site says park your car and forget it. The best restaurants and shops are well with in walking distance most just outside your door.

The pictures on the web do not do the rooms justice. To say they are very clean and comfortable is an understatement.

Arrived expecting the usual breakfast and was served fresh baked scones and breads and that was befor the main breakfast each one an edible work of art from the blueberry creamcheese bake to the ctrus french toast or bananas foster french toast each one better than the last. We found ourselves asking one another at dinner what do you think breakfast will be tomorrow.

Linda and Dick have set the bar very high for the next inn keeper we stay with . There attitude and personalities are the foundation that this fine old home rests it is truly a labour of love

My wife and I stayed at this B&B having found it through reading TA reviews. The property and the owners lived up to the numerous positive reviews. Very conveniently located in Ogunguit. A short walk to the fantastic beach. Many restaurants and shops right up the block. Did not need to use our car the entire weekend we were there- what a plus!

There are five rooms each with its own character. We were in the "Jenny Holden" room on the second floor. The room was one of the smaller ones and had a Queen- sized bed but it had the largest bathroom. Excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower/ tub. Bed and linens were very comfortable. The room also had air conditioning. No TV in rooms but this seemed to add to the relaxation- didn't miss it.

Linda and Dick (the owners) are extremely nice and accommodating. Great attention to detail and spot on info regarding places to eat, etc. Each morning at 7:30 hot coffee/decaf and fresh baked pastries are out on the relaxing front porch (which also has rocking chairs). This is followed by a great homemade breakfast with a choice of fruit juices. Breakfast was a nice time to chat with the owners and the other guests who were also married couples. Every afternoon at 3 they put out freshly baked cookies and lemonade on the porch. This is a nice welcome for people checking in but I could not wait to get back from the beach the next day to enjoy it again.

Little things like having beach chairs and beach umbrellas were very nice and made for a stress free visit. The town has some great places to eat. Everything from coffee/pastries to fine dining (We really liked MC Perkins at Perkins Cove for dinner). The famous path along the coast (Marginal Way) is extremely scenic.

Overall, a very nice spot made particularly enjoyable by the warmth and attention to detail by the owners. In short, "they get it" (they understand what guests need for a great stay).
