“The food looked and smelled good but we wouldn't know”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

Stopped in around 7:30 on a Friday night (6/21/13). The front patio looked really nice and it was. Out front they had a special board that advertised a blueberry basil sangria. We love sangria and thought this sounded great and it was. The front patio was very cozy with only four tables and a fire feature in the middle to take the chill out of the night.

So why the poor rating? Service and treating non friends with indifference. When we arrived two of the tables had diners and we were seated and at the same time the fourth table with a father and son. Well it became very obvious the woman working the front area who I believe is the owner knew the father as well as the two ladies at the table behind us. We ordered our sangria and it was excellent and although we had eaten earlier thought we would try some appetizers. When the waitress finally came back after quite a long while to check on us we ordered another round of sangria which she indicated they were out of. Bummer! So we tried to order the meatballs and they were out of those as well. Hey, we are pretty easy going so we ordered the poppers which looked amazing and some ice water.

The owner flitted around the two tables and made sure they were all set while us and the other table didn't get as much as a glance or the courtesy of asking how things were. Maybe the red flag would be a couple sitting with two empty sangria glasses and no food.

Well we sat another twenty minutes with no water and no poppers. The other table paid and left, the father and son had full dinners and were in the process of paying and chit chatting with the owner, and the two ladies were still being served and having a nice time. There is that awkward point where you figure should we give it another five minutes or cut our losses? We opted to cut our losses. The sangria was $5 each so we left $15 on the table and just walked away. Went across the street to Five-Oh and had great service, martinis and a few small plates.

“Awesome food, price and service and dog friendly too!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Had a lovely meal with family at Miranda's this past weekend. Great food (I had lobster quesadilla and other meals included two diff chix sandwiches and a lobster roll and we were all thrilled), price was extraordinary and loved eating outside. Best part is that we brought our two dogs and they brought us over a bowl of water and some cut up chicken for them even before we got our meals. Made us feel very much at home. I'd go back there in a minute!!!

“BEST LOBSTER ROLL, EVER!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

Ok, so I lived by the CT shore and experienced what I thought was a great lobster roll. Then I discovered Maine and ate a few more lobster rolls. Now here we were walking along the main street in Ogunquit, ME and were approached by a gentlemen at a podium to come in and try some lunch. We walked down an alleyway and ordered lobster rolls, hot with drawn butter and arrive in HEAVEN. These were the absolutely best lobster rolls I had ever eaten. The rolls were from the North End of Boston, MA and the lobster was tender and fresh. The price was absolutely fair. So this year (2013) we go back and hope that they have succeeded in business. We are greeted by the incredibly friendly owner and a quaint, newly expanded outdoor dining area. And the lobster rolls are STILL so good....DO NOT PASS this place...you will not be disappointed...if you are, I'll treat you to another lobster roll of your choice!!!

“Miranda's - a great outdoor dining option”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

If al fresco dining appeals to you, then you must try Miranda's in Ogunquit. We had the meatball app: 2 large meatballs in a great marinara sauce with melted mozzarella. The meatballs reminded me of the ones my friends grandmother from Italy used to make. Perfectly seasoned and well balanced with the marinara. We also had the grilled chicken Caesar salad which my wife proclaimed one of the better efforts she's ever had. We also had the grilled veggie baguette - eggplant, zucchini, spinach, mushroom, peppers, onions, feta - covered in melted cheese. The ingredients were fresh and the results were excellent. The above and 2 sodas came to $30, a bargain in Ogunquit. They will be having sangria, beer and wine in the near future. Also, this is a family run restaurant and it shows.
