“Nice place with ordinary food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

This is a place where we always try to go when we're here. It's right at the end of the Marginal Way. Our last visit, in September this year, was a little disappointing: we had to wait a long time for our lobster. The place was almost empty and we still had to wait. The waiter was friendly and helpful but could not explain the delay. I can't believe they ran out of lobsters at this time of year. I guess the cook was out to lunch at 8:00 p.m.

Will go back again but without the positive expectations.

“Gone down hill”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

Been going here for 40 yrs never been disappointed until this yr. Just came home from a week in pgunquit. Going to oarweeds for dinner always a highlight for my family until this yr. Over priced terrible food service done by childtren. I don't know if they have changed owners or chefs but they need to re-think there business plans. Will not go back or recomend this place to any one again.

“Relaxed Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

this is definitely a great place to go if you're not wanting to wait in line at their competitor across the street. Very relaxed dining room, they have indoor, outdoor, and a covered patio for seating. They have the basics here but very good.

“Beautiful Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

We found this restaurant located in a beautiful spot. It is in Perkins Cove right on the water and at one end of the Marginal Way. It appears to have been there for Many years. The decor is dated, but clean and not unwelcoming.

Our waitress greeted us quickly and served us efficiently as well. Our meals were wonderful. They were served at proper temperature and very quickly. She was very friendly and seemed knowledgable. Once our check was delivered, she seemed to disappear for a very long time.

We would certainly return.

“Great Views”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We hit this place up over Labor Day weekend for lunch before going out on a sailboat tour of the coast. It was not too terribly expensive and it was a fairly quick lunch. I had the clam chowder and crab cakes, both of which I was happy with. My friend ended up with the shrimp salad sandwich and was less impressed. But all in all, not a bad place to pop in for lunch.
