4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

We just escaped to Ogunquit for a quick one-night stay with our two kids. Our room was huge and would actually be considered a suite. There was a king size bed and a sleeper sofa located in a separate living room area. The room was equipped with a hotel sized fridge and two very comfortable lounge chairs. There were two flat screen TV's. The room was immaculate. One suggestion - it would have been really nice to have a microwave. We noticed that there was no bedding for the sleeper sofa and when we asked a housekeeper for some, she generously offered to make up the bed for us while we went to the pool. She was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed on the first floor in the main building. I would recommend that you ask for a room on the top floor because we could hear children running up and down the halls above us. It sounded like a herd of elephants and it did keep our own kids awake at times. We used the indoor pool and Jacuzzi, which were wonderful and not crowded despite the hotel being full. The staff is very warm and accommodating. We ate breakfast in the restaurant on site, Raspberri's. It's very convenient to have such a nice restaurant right down the hall from your room. The trolley stop is located in a great spot in the shade right in front of the hotel. This was our first time at this hotel and definitely won't be our last.

Room Tip: Room 140 in the main room is quiet and spacious, with the exception of noise overhead.

My husband and I stayed a couple of nights in August. We had a giant king size room, not in the main building. It was so very quiet, even tho the resort had no vacancy. The property is spotless, no matter where you visit. The staff at the desk and housekeeping, make this property a premier joy! We love visiting it. We had two wonderful dinners at MC and Clayhill Farm. We had two beautiful days at the beach, with low tide. A surprise to us, the water was not freezing! At the end of the day, we went back to the resort and stayed at the pool/jacuzzi. They even provide towels. This truly is a spectacular hotel and the team they have working there, are just a delight to deal with. Cannot wait to go back. We go during all the seasons, and love any room they put us in.

Very clean rooms recently renovated a year ago. Please continue to keep clean and you will have a repeat customer for years to come. Staff at the front desk were very nice and pleasant. Pool house was clean. Just wished they had a refrigerator in the room..

We have been coming here for many years and have never been disappointed in any way. It is a superior hotel in a beautiful and very convenient setting. The grounds are lovely and carefully maintained. The lobby is equally attractive and all of the rooms are, as well. The small gym is excellent, the pool is ideal, and the staff goes out of their way to insure the comfort and convenience of their guests, e.g. late checkouts, morning pre-breakfast coffee, local and national newspapers, lobby computer, late night tea and much more. It is a ten minute walk to the adorable town and a three minute walk to the landmark Ogunquit Lobster Pound which is a must visit for seafood lovers. The breakfast-only restaurant off the lobby is fantastic, as well. Get the picture? This place is just great!

Room Tip: Uniformly excellent.

It was my first time there, so I don't know the standards of this whole village, so I'll just base on my own past hotel, inn, suites experience. From outside, it looks cute and the lobby looked ok. The bay window with the pool view is not bad. When we entered the room, we were hit by an old man's musky cologne smell. Wallpapers are from the 80's, actually everything is from that time. The bed is squeaky, not very comfortable so I was missing my bed the whole time. Bathroom was not clean to my standard. Definitely not spotless and I am not a clean freak so in all, I won't be returning to this "hotel" as I don't think it's a hotel, more a motel or an inn. I found the pricing were bit high for what it is, but then I understand that they have to make most out of summer.

With that thought in mind, we partially renovated 22 of our standard rooms for the 2013 season. For the 2012 season, we completely renovated 25 of our standard rooms. We also offer Premium rooms that have been enhanced to include central air conditioning and heating systems, granite countertops and tub surrounds, oversized tubs and refrigerators, noise reducing double paned windows and custom cherry finished furniture. All our rooms offer high definition cable entertainment with flat screen televisions, premium movie channel, complimentary high speed WIFI, voicemail, complimentary in room coffee, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. We also offer two heated swimming pools, a fitness room, Raspberri’s Restaurant for breakfast and free parking.

Please know that we also take great pride in the value we offer. Our guests consistently voice that our product and service are well worth the price, and it is another of our goals to ensure this result. We are confident that our rates are thoughtfully developed with this goal in mind. We understand that travelers have many choices in the Ogunquit area, and we feel our rates are appropriately positioned for the product, service and location we offer.

Thank you again for choosing the Gorges Grant Hotel. We know that you have many choices within the Ogunquit area, and we hope that you find a location that suits your needs during your next visit.

We spent a night at the Gorges Grant Hotel in early July. The staff was very pleasant, the room was clean and comfortable and we particularly liked the location of the hotel, as it is just a short stroll from downtown Ogunquit.

Guests can also opt to take a trolley into downtown Ogunquit/Perkins Cove, which stops right outside the hotel. Another bonus is free parking for hotel guests.

My only complaint was a weird smell in the hallways of the hotel.

I would definitely stay here again.
