“Uncle Bobby and Auntie Sherry”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Booked two nights, stayed a week. This is truly a magical place.Bobby and Sherry were wonderful hosts who could not have done more for us.From the gorgeous, beautifully kept rooms to the staggering Bobby breakfast!!
Watching the morning mist drift across the surface of the pond with a watery sun scattering its rays is like a fairytale and the view gets better and better.
This is not an Inn, its a beautiful home and Bobby and Sherry will make you feel its yours.
We hated leaving and will most certainly return.

My wife and I just spent two nights at the Mill Pond Inn.
We could not have had a better time. Sherry and Bobby-the unofficial mayor of Damariscotta- showed us incredible hospitality. Their rooms were pristine and beautifully decorated. Bobby fattened us up with huge blueberry pancakes and French toast for breakfast.
We loved the area and enjoyed the food at both the Salt Bay Café (have the rabbit) and the Damariscotta River Grill-- all is special.
We had a bad experience at another B&B in the area; thank goodness, because this can't be beat

Room Tip: The Eagles Nest is worth the extra effort to climb the stairs

We had a terrific stay at the Mill Pond. It felt as though we were reuniting with old friends. I love when you can tell that Innkeepers are obviously happy to be doing what they do. Wonderful comfortable bed with very cozy bedding. Great sleep. Wonderful breakfast company... and a little bit of sadness because I just didn't want to leave.... I look forward to seeing these two lovely fun innkeepers again!! Thanks for such a genuine welcome.

This is a wonderful place to stay with pleasant hosts, Sherry and Bobby. They make you feel right at home and there is plenty to do there and nearby. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was filling. We took the canoe out on Damariscotta Lake both days and got up close to a loon. There is also a hammock and chairs out in the yard to relax and enjoy the cool breeze. We do plan to return.

We've stayed at Mill Pond Inn several times. It's always nice to return. Sherry and Bobby are very welcoming and terrific company. The inn and rooms are very cozy and clean. Location is excellent. It's a quiet area.

For the first time, we stayed in the room with "kitchenette." The refrigerator works. Very important when you've wine to chill to bring to an eat-in-the-rough lobster spot. There are no kitchen items provided. I brought an electric kettle for morning tea. I borrowed a mug from the downstairs kitchen.

The inn is situated right on the lake. On a previous visit, my husband brought his kayak and paddled the lake directly from the inn. There is a swimming area next to the inn which attracts children and adults.

We're sure to return!

The Inn is gorgeous, beautifully decorated rooms, with fabulous views of the Mill Pond. Bobby makes a great breakfast every morning, and keeps everyone entertained. As innkeepers, they are incredible - everything from driving a bunch of guests to the Round Pond parade (an experience not to be missed), to pouring you a glass of wine on the deck on a Friday afternoon, to telling you all the great shops and restaurants to visit. We have stayed here before, and each time we come back, expecting it to be lovely, and it always exceeds our high expectations. On a hot Maine afternoon, you can just step off the dock for a cool swim, or use the canoe or paddle boat to explore the lake a bit. A beautiful place to stay, in a beautiful location, with wonderful and friendly innkeepers.

Room Tip: Our favorite is the Eagle's Nest. The extra flight of stairs to the third floor is worth it for...

Don't anyone waste time.... get to it. Relax, enjoy beauty, singing birds, views
and, the play -- when you are ready -- Don't delay. Oh, the canoe trips. Wow! The swimming is the best! The pond was quite clean for swimming and directly accessed by swimming under a small bridge a 12 mile lake! The lake is also accessible just by the front door of the B&B. You have to see it to believe it! The good, happy fellowship and cooking that Bobby and Sherry bring is so
heartwarming. The atmosphere was conducive to either having a private period or enjoying fellowship with the other guests. The accommodations were new in my room, the building was constructed in the 18th century and afforded a view of a pond that reflected the immense bolder on the other side with the trees, birds and blue sky.
Bobby gave us an opportunity to be part of a wonderful 4th of July parade in one of his vintage vehicles. I came without a car and my experience was wonderful. When we needed a ride somewhere there was never a problem. The local trails are very close too the inn.
