Fresh baked goods - a walk in bakery/small eatery. Various wines for sale and local gift products to purchase.Self serve - great sitting area, casual relaxed. Wonderful muffins etc. all baked on premises.

“Perfect Breakfast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

We stopped in on a whim and enjoyed a very nice breakfast - egg, bacon, cheese on a toasted baguette. Excellent. Yummy pastries, good coffee. We were very pleased. Staff was friendly too.

“Hit The Spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

We stopped for Sunday brunch not knowing what to expect...we were pleasantly surprised. From the color scheme of the interior, the small market they have set up, to the food they served, it was all fantastic. Love the way they have the baked goods set up so you can self serve and choose the muffin that catches your eye and not the one that the counter staff grabs. I had the mushroom and cheddar quiche with a blueberry muffin and I cant rave enough about both! Delish, delish, delish. It is more of a deli then a market, but Dot has something here and she is doing great so far! :) I will come back again the next time I am in town.

“A treasure......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

"Dot's Market" is named in honor of the owner's late grandmother. But it really should be called "Melissa's," because Melissa owns and runs the place and offers up things that Melissa knows and likes. And Melissa has very good taste. Imaginative breakfast items, superb baked goods, fresh and flavorful salads, yummy wraps and sandwiches, good soups and daily specials may be eaten in or carried out. Baguettes are baked on the premises several times each day and Melissa is personally involved in the selection of wines sold in her place. Interesting appetizers and ice creams are found in her freezer. An amazing find in a small town in Maine!!

“Interesting Fare; Pleasant Ambiance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Dot's is the sort of place where you can stop in for a coffee and pastry; pick up your newspaper; and purchase an hors d'oeuvre and a bottle of wine for the evening's dinner. You can order sandwiches and soups to go, or you can eat them in the roomy, light-filled space. The single story wood frame building has an open floor plan with plenty of room to poke around, browse, and make selections. Staff is friendly and efficient. Outside are lots of flowers making this place a really pleasant stop.

The desserts are killers, particularly the chocolate-chocolate-chocolate brownies! They had tarts, cakes, and pies and blondies, too. The breads are crusty and freshly baked and the lasagna looked incredible. I'll be back every year.
