“Just right for one night with 2 humans and Ursa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

This location is perfect; away from the busier tourist areas in and around Bar Harbor, etc. But close enough to Acadia Park (if that is your desire). Great restaurants surround the location and the breakfast provided in the Bistro are amazing. In fact all the amenities provided were first class!
We fully occupied cabin #4 so that is the reason for the just right for one night. We were not all that cramped so don't get me wrong, it's just that after a week together more space is always appreciated. The manager mentioned that they were still in the upgrading business and I suspect that an increased number of outlets is one of the upgrades.
Ursa, our queen, 80 lb Labrador retriever was even given a royal treatment. A placemat for her dishes, a towel to wipe her soiled paws, treats, dish, blankey, and a special paw printed gift bag!!

Room Tip: The cabin provided a nice feeling of solitude

Adorable cottages - motel is comfortable, basic and to the point. No frills needed because there is so much so see and do in MidCoast Maine! Included continental breakfast is fresh and full of many choices.

If you're looking for an affordable, no-frills, dog-friendly motel/cottage with a nice quick continental breakfast, then this is the place for you!

We stayed in motel room #19 over Labor Day weekend. The resort is very cute and decorated nicely! We arrived after 7pm, but a late check-in was no problem just by calling ahead. The rooms and bathroom are small but doable. We had 4 adults in one room, which was a little bit of a squeeze but we were only in our room to sleep, as there were many other activities to enjoy!

The breakfast was delicious with a variety of breads, cereals, fruit, oatmeal, juice, as well as coffee, hard boiled eggs, and cheese. We ate on the picnic tables outside when it was nice and then indoors otherwise. They had little conversation starters on the table and Jane was always available for advice! She was a great resource as we decided what to do each day!

Lincolnville is a very small town but It is close to many other towns as well. I would recommend the Bald Rock Mountain Trail. It is close to town and has breathtaking views of the ocean and islands. The Cellardoor winery is also close and has a beautiful view from their deck (and free wine tastings!). We ate at the Whale's Tooth Pub and had a delicious meal and dessert.

Lincolnville is also very close to Camden, which is a picturesque and touristy town. There is a lot to look at and do there. We loved Cappy's Chowder House in Camden. They had good brews and the best lobster chorizo chowder!

We were lucky enough to get a room at this wonderfully clean location with no reservations. It's no wonder they were one of the only fully booked locations in the area. CLEAN, dog friendly and with wonderful amenities.

When we decided to stay a second night Jane found us another room and though the move from one room to another was at first a bit of an inconvenience it gave us the opportunity to see another cottage each uniquely furnished and decorated. One more charming than the next.

The added touches, doggy bag and breakfast, as well as the offering of where to go and where to eat only added to our stay to make this a more than positive experience.

Stayed here two nights while on a girls trip thru Maine. Cottages and motel rooms are available. Because the cabins were all occupied we stayed in the motel. The room was well equipped with upgraded toiletries refrig. And microwave. The room was a nice size with a twin bed and a double. There was also a sofa bed. A wonderful continental breakfast is served every morning. Jane, the owner operator was very informative about the local area and gave us some great tips. She even helped us find a place to stay further south. Would love to stay in one of the cottages next time I make it up to Maine again. Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip..people from several countries were staying there when we were. We enjoyed talking to them at breakfast.

There are a lot of good things about these lodgings: The grounds are lovely, the rooms are clean and charming, breakfast is exceptional, and the staff, especially Emily, are hard working as they provide for us guests. The manager, Jane, spent a lot of time with me during the planning phase as we figured out how to best accommodate our group of 22. The lobster supper was a good value: the lobster was fresh and sweet and Jane's coleslaw was delicious. Yes, the rooms are on the small side, but who spends a lot of time in their room during the summer on the Maine coast?

Room Tip: If you want more space, choose one of the cabins instead of a room.
