“A Shoppers Mecca..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

We stopped at the Kittery Trading Post on the way home from York Maine. It has a full stock of merchandise from hunting/fishing to clothing for the family to gifts/books and so much more. It is worth taking the time to stop and just visit to see the outside decorations that they have, it will make you want to see what's inside to see more. First stop at the bargain tent where merchandise is discounted and there are great buys for all the family, then visit the main store and take in all the offerings..you'll thouroughly enjoy yourselves.

“Bear hunt”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

While traveling to Mayfield, Maine for a guided Bear hunt my son in law and I stopped at the Kittery Trading Post in kittery Maine for some supplys and to purchase our license. I was extremely suprised (pleasantly) that they had such a variety of clothing as well as anything outdoors. "I loved this place". In addition to the Trading Post, just across the street was this wonderful Lobster house that had a complete Lobster meal for under $15.00 "WOW!"
The town was lovely and clean with the most friendly locals, always a kind word and willing to assist with any questions one might have. If ever in the north East, you "gotta" stop in Kittery Maine and visit the Trading Post.

“Nice pit stop when driving through, but not worth a special trip.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012 via mobile

This was not the trading post of my childhood. No fun things for kids like when I used to visit. Yes they do have every single sporting goods thing known to man, which is awesome if you need to pick up things for your interest, but long ago there were more unique local gifts & souvineers. The mini fudge counter in store had excellent fudge. We tried 5 different flavors. There is a snack shack outside with quick walkup service and outdoor tables which is easier & quicker than the sit downs in the area.

“I know it's beloved, but...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

the plain and simple truth is It is just a souvenir shop. Yes, you can get everything paper, polyester and ceramic, just remember it is a souvenir shop.
On the plus side, the parking was plentiful and it is a very nice store to visit if you want a break from being on the road.

“Great Place to Shop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

We stopped here on our way into Maine and found everything we could ever want as far as souvenirs. Also, they had good food places very close and everything was reasonably priced!!!
