Ski hills have to cater to all levels, and Sugarloaf seems to be good at that up to the advanced intermediate level - lots of cruisers. For experts, I found the steeps were overly groomed, wide and pretty straightforward skiing (summit). Moguls were few (Bubblecuffer from the summit down was the exception) and glades needed much more pruning to be usable.
Bracket basin was partially closed and the 3+3 rule scared off my buddies. Place needs more trails - narrow to keep the snow away from the wind, with varying pitches and turns and fun glades.
The grooming was great, liftees were fun and friendly and base facilities are terrific and accessible. And my friends loved the clinics - a great way to learn about the mountain.
