“Charming Fall Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012 via mobile

I too stayed here on the last night of my New England tour on Caravan. The resort was charming, decorated in a beautiful way with all the fall colors. The highlights were the beautiful grounds, the warm and sweet staff and the delicious lobster dinner that we had as a group. The floors did squeak but the property was so quaint that I didn't focus on that. I hope to get back to Kennebunkport, ME soon and would definitely stay at the property again.

Hello Alison!
Thanks so much for your thoughtful remarks! The fall is a beautiful time to visit The Nonantum and this year the decorations were even better than usual! Each day I am amazed by the many people walking around our grounds taking photos of each other. They looked like they were having a fantastic time!
I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed your lobster dinner! I mean seriously - you cannot come to Maine and not have lobster!
Have a great fall!
Warm Regards,

This quaint inn is a great fall getaway resort in Kennebunkport. When we arrived, the front of the inn was decorated nicely for fall. The grounds had pumpkins and fall decorations everywhere. We took a lot of pictures. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and the owners were friendly. The Bush compound was only a couple of miles away, and shopping was very convenient to the inn. We will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Great place to stay for couples wanting to shop and look at fall foliage.

Hello Harpers:
I really appreciate your kind remarks about the Nonantum!
As you correctly observe, fall is a wonderful time for couples who just want to kick back and enjoy the beautiful scenery and do a little shopping. There are also lots of outdoor activites like hiking, biking and kayaking available
Next time perhaps come in a different season for while we have fantastic fall decorations and activities, we also have really amazing spring summer and winter decorations and activities as well!
Hope to see you back in Kennebunkport soon!

This is a great hotel resort with great food and a nice casual bar. The rooms are quaint, clean and very comfortable. Many rooms have a small patio with furniture. A nice gift shop with women's clothing as well as some tourist items.

The Bush compound is a two minute drive and the road is also a nice tourist ride for viewing some beautiful homes.

This hotel is only 15 minutes ride from I 95. I was here on business but will definitely stay here for personal travel as well.

Coffee is available 24 hours in the main lobby.

This was an interesting stay to say the least. We stayed on Friday October 19. The hotel is in need of renovations. We had an upgraded room with a view that included breakfast at $249.00 a night. The furnishings are very cheap, walls paper thin with wood work that is so cheap for a room rate at this level. The windows were too large windows with drapes that looked like they came from wal-mart with no lining. The 2nd floor did not have an elevator other than a service one for staff with extremely steep steps. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly. It is in a good location. It would be wonderful if they would just spend some money on the rooms.

This is a great spot and one of our favorites in New England.
The rooms were quite nice and well equipped (microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker etc).
Our room had a very nice large deck overlooking the water that offered some great views
of the area (including some of the small fishing boats anchored just off shore). The common areas in the hotel were very nice. The staff at this resort really go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and fun. We were here in mid-October and the entire grounds were filled with great Halloween decorations. Also we found the food at the lodge to be quite good.

Room Tip: Our tip would be to ask for a room in the new North Wing, these rooms are newer, nicer and larger bu...

This hotel is in a great location on a little inlet that goes from the Atlantic into the town of Kennebunkport. The center of town is a short walk away. We had a nice water view from our room in the new wing and a balcony with two chairs where we could sit a enjoy the view. The beds are very comfortable. Our room had 2 queen beds, but only one club chair and a low table. There is free wifi, but no desk or desk chair. However, there is a computer and printer available for public use on each floor of the new wing. The room had a small refrigerator. The bathroom was adequate, but small. Other rooms had different furniture, so if we stay there again, I will ask if they have a room with a table or desk. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We were married at The Nonantum in September and The Nonantum's staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Our guests loved staying at the inn and were very impressed with the venue and the staff. We would definitely recommend the Nonantum for anyone wanting to get married in Kennebunkport.

We love love here at the Nonantum and as a result really enjoy the many weddings we host each year! Brides and Grooms love our beautiful setting, great food, and amazing wedding planners! Friends and families are thrilled to come to Kennebunkport because if they have been here, they want to come back and if they haven't they have always wanted to come!
A Nonantum Wedding is always amazing, but I think September is a beautiful month to enjoy all that Mother Nature has to offer!
Please come back often! We love to see our Brides and Grooms back for Anniversaries, Christenings and Breakfast with Santa!
I really appreciate your very nice comments!
