“Great weekend!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2010

We stayed at the Maine Stay this past memorial day weekend. We stayed in one of the cottages. We had a fantastic time. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. My children really enjoyed themselves. I would recommend this property to anyone needing a fun place to get away and enjoy the beaches of Maine. There is plenty to do in town which is a 5 min walk and the beach is just a short 5 min drive. The Inn Keepers really went out of their way to welcome us and our kids. We are already trying to book our next weekend!!

We came with our extended family to celebrate our daughter's graduation together and all had a wonderful time. The adjoining cottages worked out wonderfully well for our family and we appreciated having our own kitchens. The lawn area provided a great space for intergenerational "hanging out" - with comfy chairs for the older folk and volleyball and bocce ball for the more active set. The breakfasts were excellent - whether taken in the inn or delivered to the cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room, which was one of the cottages, was very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. The innkeepers were delightful and their food and service was top notch.

It was a spur of the moment thing to go to Maine over the Memorial Day Weekend.
We booked the day before and I was quite apprehensive that they could not accommodate my request of 'no sugar' breakfast for our family.Instead they said they would do their best.
I was expecting the usual ommelette, ham n sausage breakfast instead of what they offer other guests (blueberry pie and muffin)but to my surprise, they actually baked similar breakfast with sugar substitute and it was excellent!
Johanna Hauer,I found out has a passion for baking and she is so talented. That breakfast alone is a major draw for anyone who enjoy home cooked breakfast.
Good job!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Mainestay Inn. The breakfasts, delivered to our room, were wonderful. The room had everything we needed - lots of little touches that said the Innkeeper had the best interest of guests at heart. We would definitely stay here again.

This trip was my first experience with Bed & Breakfast Inns and the Maine Stay Inn sold me on doing this again!

We came in late in the day without a reservation and hoped that there were vacancies. We were welcomed in and treated like old friends! Since B & B's were a new experience to me, it was a nice touch to show us the room before having us commit to staying. We were pleasantly surprised and very impressed by the charming, adorable cottage. It was extremely clean and well maintained. The comforts, very friendly /helpful staff, beautiful surroundings and desirable area made it the perfect cottage for our stay!

Located walking distance to the main street in Dock Square, shops and restaurants in Kennebunkeport. We had a wonderful time at our first B&B at Maine Stay! The staff were very friendly and helpful, giving us suggestions and directions on things to do in town, even offering us beach towels, beach chairs to borrow for the day. Each room is decorated differently with its own unique charm and amenities (ranging from fireplaces, tub, to french bistro patio). The hot breakfasts were home-cooked, delicious, and different each day! And after a day of sightseeing, come back and catch your breath with their afternoon tea and home-baked cookies...and if you miss it, they leave cookies and tea out all night by the fireplace for you :) We loved the personal touches from a personal note we were left for our late check-in, to chocolates on the pillows. A delightful place to stay!
