We went to Kennebunkport for a Veterans Day celebration and decided to go to this restaurant. The owners were so nice, had a good selection of dishes and prices were good.

The food and management for Lucas has always been great but the staff is often overlooked here. If you want good service ask to sit at one of Sarah's tables.

She knows the menu and the way things are made and can help in any decision regarding choices which seem to never end.

Come with an open mind and ask Sarah to help make it a special night. whether its my wife and I alone or the entire family shows up she can help make it an experience to remember.

We went here based on the reviews from here, TripAdvisor. We drove along the coast of Kennebunkport, watched the sunset, and then stopped in around 6pm for dinner. The restaurant was fairly empty since this is a very slow time of year for coastal Maine.

The server greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. We ordered the lazyman’s (yes, for $1 its worth it to us to have it “done”!) lobster and beef tenderloin tips. The lobster was excellent and tasted super fresh. It came with some of the best butternut squash I have ever had. The beef tenderloins were very tender but slightly overcooked (I ordered medium rare). The baked potato was good but nothing special. While nothing absolutely amazing, we did enjoy our meals and the price was reasonable, we would come back again.

My wife and I had a most enjoyable evening at Lucas on 9. The food was exellent and a good value. The staff was exceptionally friendly as well as helpful. The restaurant is located out of town and we managed to find ourselves lost. We called the restaurant on two occasions to be sure to have our reservations saved as well as to verify our location and directions. The staff was extremely helpful and understanding. We recommend Lucas on 9 without hesitation.
