The name of the restaurant is Earth at Hidden Pond. Being a restaurant from Ken Oringer, I expected a great meal, and that we got. From the moment you walk in and smell the wood burning stove, to gazing up the wood logged walls, this was truly a foodie experience. Upon telling our waiter of my dietary restrictions, he said that there would be absolutely no problem in accommodating my needs. The chef has various versions of the same preparations so that nothing needs to be omitted from a dish. We started with extremely innovative and tasty pickled vegetable. Each of the 10 selections had a different infusion of flavor. Next was the salad and tuna poke, each very tasty. My scallops were perched on a bed of maple glazed carrot puree. My husband who does not like carrots, ate most of my dish. The scallops were sweet and perfectly cooked. My husband had a beautifully presented paella, which he quickly finished. Dessert was a candy bar shaped fudge cream with coconut ash ice cream and dried honey crumble. Not too sweet and definitely enough to share. The restaurant is only open until October and we are already looking at our calendar to find a date to return. One of the better dining experiences we have had in a long time.
