“Maine visit with friends”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

Our friends drove us back into St. Anthony's and I'm glad they did. Very beautiful setting and very quiet for walks and meditation if you wish. The outside chapel is very beautiful!

“A small area of peace”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

St.Anthony's is a wonderful place to stroll along the river, across from the hustle and bustle of Kennebunkport and its crowded shoppers! I have walked this area, along the edge of the water, plunked my buns down on the benches along the way, and found peace. Not only is it great in the summer, but all seasons.A photographer friend went with me on a misty fall morning and captured some extraordinary pictures of the fall foliage and its glorious colors, and then returned to see the contrast of white snow on the deep ink blue waters of winter! A hidden gem with no cost involved!!!!

“Peaceful in a hectic location”

This site is a very quite and peaceful walk and a place to reflect. The walk brings you out to the harbor, and along the way there are places to sit pray and reflect. The cost...free

“Looks Lovely, Saw by Trolley”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

If you take the Trolley tour from town, it does a driveby through the parking area passing the main building and the grotto. If all you want is a quick look here and/or want to see alot of the Kennebunks in a short amount of time then take the Trolley tour.

I would've enjoyed a walk around the monastery and the grotto, but since we saw it on the trolley tour it was a been there done that kind of thing. It's still a lovely area and should be seen in some way if you're visiting the Kennebunks.

“Mass every morning at 7:30am. Wonderful”

The grounds are gorgeous! If you follow the path, the coastline is across the river from the Nonantum!
