My bride of 39 years and I dined at On The Marsh the day after Valentine's Day, and had a great dining experience. It started with complimentary glasses of a nice prosecco, thoroughly unexpected and appreciated. I had the tomato soup, which was thick and flavorful. Darling wife skipped the appetizers as she's a light eater.
The chef was happy to replace the gnocci that came with her scallops and lobster with a gluten-free alternative, and she loved everything on the plate. I had the beef tenderloin, the finest cut I've had in years and perfectly prepared.
We shared the twin creme brulees for dessert... the dark chocolate was excellent, the classic vanilla reminded my wife of the same dish at the Louvre restaurant in Paris. In short, everything about the food was exceptional! We sent our compliments to the pastry chef.
The service by Seth was personable and professional. He made a small error and immediately corrected it... it bothered him a lot more than us. Timing was just as we like it... great spacing between our arrival, drinks, ordering and courses. Not too slow, never rushed.
