“Perfect Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

My husband and I stayed at this new hotel over Columbus Day weekend. The location can not be beat! It is close to EVERYTHING and yet the hotel is almost hidden. The rooms were beautiful as was the bathroom - especially the heated floors! The staff leaves at 9pm and there are no real amenities like room service or a full service restaurant on site, but the hotel itself cant be beat. The view is spectacular and the location is almost too good to be true. We loved our stay.

Room Tip: Definitely opt for a balcony room - we really wish we had requested one early on!

“Nice New Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

We stayed at the hotel for a few nights this summer. The hotel is new and you can not beat the location if you want to stay right in town. The free parking was nice and you can easily walk to the shops in Kennebunk or Kennebunkpory. The rooms were on the small side but clean. While the hotel does not serve breakfast there are a number of options within walking distance of the hotel. You can also go swimming at the sister property but you need to drive. We would stay again in the future.

“Very Convenient Location, Nice New Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

We chose The Grand Hotel partially be cause it is new this season and partially because we wanted to be within convenient walking distance to town and water. It has also been described as "hip" in some reviews, and that was more appealing than some of the traditional family hotels in the area. We had a lovely room and a great stay. We'd stay there again in a minute. It was quiet, clean, reasonably priced, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's a small hotel -- only 17 rooms -- so it's more casual than a city/business hotel. There's no concierge or bell staff, but the front desk clerk offered to help with our bags, recommended great restaurants, made reservations, and gamely answered our questions and helped us find our way around.

Room Tip: There are complimentary bikes for guest use at the Grand. The swimming pool (and beach service) is a...

“Everything was Grand!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

Our original plans were to go to Islamorada in the Florida Keys but Tropical Storm Isaac made our travel plans impossible so we quickly had to plan a new get away. We love Maine but have never stayed in Kennebunk and as usual I relied heavily on Trip Advisor. We stayed at The Grand Hotel 8/29 thru 9/1 and had a "grand time". Our room 303 is the one on the website. Absolutely beautifully decorated with 2 huge sliders that gave us a view of both the main street and the bridge that leads from Kennebunk into Kennebunkport amnd the river.
We took advantage of beach passes one day and enjoyed Kennebunk Beach and the next day went to the Old Fort Inn and sat at their lovely quiet pool. The location of the Grand is perfect because you are right in town and can just walk all around the shops on Kennebunk and Nennebunkport and are a very short drive to Ocean Drive and some really wonderful retsaurants. HB Provisions across the street is great for coffee and breakfast in the morning and Willard Scoops just down the street had amazing ice cream.
The desk staff was very helpful and the property is lovely.

Room Tip: I loved Room 303

“A welcome addition to the area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012 via mobile

My wife and I just stayed at The Grand for our 10th anniversary. This is a beautiful new property right in the heart of the Kennebunkport area. The rooms are modern, yet cozy (beds are very comfortable). The bathrooms are large with a nice stand up shower (no tub). Another plus is the cafe in the lobby - great breakfast sandwiches. Take advantage of the amenities at the sister properties that are included. We spent a few hours at the pool at the Old Fort Inn (very relaxing). All in all, a terrific stay. I look forward to returning!
